Friday Favorites

Well friends...week 2 of Back to School and things are getting a little easier...I am thinking in one or two more weeks I will have this down...we shall see!  Happy Friday!  How are you all holding up?

As always, sharing some recent faves with the lovely ladies HERE

The NUTCRACKER

Friends, I was dreading this one...not the show..it is one of my favorite things all year every year...but dreaded a cancellation...dreaded any changes...and they did come.  Due to COVID 19, Diana's Dance Company, decided to move forward with a cinematic film production this year as opposed to a live performance...think Hamilton on Disney +...so although we were extremely disappointed at first, we are now embracing the changes and very excited to see the film....

This is Diana's 5th Nutcracker...she has played a Polichinelle, a Party Girl and an Angel in years past...

This year, she has been cast in three parts!  She will play/dance a Party Girl, an Angel and Russian!

Eva's first year was last year and she was the Arabian Baby Doll...bless my heart :)

This year, she has been cast as a Baby Doll again and also a Polichinelle!

We are thinking positively and hope this filming goes off without a hitch- rehearsals start this weekend!

Facebook Football Memories

Zach's Sophomore Year was already 9 years ago!  If you want to see and read all of the fun football posts then look at my fall posts from 2011, 2012 and 2013...they were such fun days and we miss cheering our Jaguar on so so much!

Fave MEMEs

Field Hockey

Best for last...40 girls tried out for the Middle School Field Hockey team and there were only 16 spots and our little monkey scored a spot...we are so proud of her!  This is completely out of her comfort zone and something she really didn't want to do but Rob and I keep telling her that she will feel so much better when she has an activity at school and builds camaraderie with a team...skills that she will benefit from throughout her life...once she made the team...she was very excited :)

That's a wrap...enjoy your fall weekend friends...mine will be filled with as much outdoor exercise I can get in and lots of pumpkin spice coffee :)

I feel for you on the Nutcracker. So disappointing. My kids try out for a fall play at our local community center and this year it is an online production--the kids practice at home via zoom. Should be very interesting.

I'm sorry to hear that the Nutcracker won't go on in-person, but you have a good attitude about it. Diana will be so cute in her roles. :) And I bet you miss Zach's football days. Football season, and having someone to go watch and cheer for is the best! YAY for your sweet girl making the field hockey team... that's big when only 16 could make it! Congrats!!!!

You look absolutely beautiful in that dress! I’m so sorry about the production but I bet the film will be absolutely AMAZING! A peanut butter protein shake sounds so good. Have a wonderful weekend sweet friend!

So sad about the Nutcracker. Ella and I went to The Fox to see the Nutcracker last year and were so looking forward to going again this year but it is already cancelled.
Love all the Fall touches.

Gosh, I am sure that’s disappointing for the Christmas performance to be virtual. I just saw yesterday that our Nutcracker Market (which is a huge, four day event in a large arena) will be virtual and I cannot fathom how! Such a shame. Your nails look great! I think I need to make my switch to my fall darker nails soon.
Happy weekend!

Way to go on the Nutcracker and field hockey.

I so needed that goal meme this week and the Tom Brady meme made me laugh out loud . Someone in my house is ahem accusing me of not being a Pat's fan anymore because I mentioned I was curious to see how Brady and Gronk were going to do w this new team. Quitting Brady and Gronk is soooop hard.

Hope your weekend is filled with pumpkin spice magic.

You just reminded me I need to repaint my nails today! That was on my list.. but I've misplaced it already. LOL. I hope the filmed production goes off without a hitch-- does that now make them movie stars?! I think it does. :)

This was supposed to be Rachel's first year to dance in The Nutcracker and instead they had to change everything up. Boo. It's going to be a "Christmas Wishes" show which is filmed and then shared with parents.

Congrats to your kiddo on making the field hockey team! That's amazing!!!
