Zumba!!!

So on Wednesday night, I tried my first Zumba class at the gym I just joined. Consensus? LOVED IT!!

It was almost like I was not even exercising because I was concentrating on the steps and enjoying the music.

I really left there feeling like I could be on Dancing with the Stars (with lots of practice of course.)

I highly recommend trying one of these classes...sounds like it is becoming more and more popular.

What is Zumba?

Zumba® fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. Zumba® Fanatics achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms, and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got Zumba®!

HarvestFest 2008 in York, Maine

Bill invited us up to the annual HarvestFest in York again this year and then to his Post HarvestFest Bash. Well we had a blast.

We enjoyed some yummy food like marinated steak tips and chicken from the butcher's stand...homemade apple crisp from another stand...homemade fudge (coconut cream and pumpkin pie), kettle corn...etc etc...I am full just thinking about it!

It was a great photo opportunity and foliage seemed to be at its peak up there.

Later at Bill's we had some laughs...swapped baby stories with Dave and Tammy and pretty much laughed hysterically listening to Richie's tales and advice.

Enjoy the pix :)

To My Cass

I love you and I am here for you no matter what you need. I know that things may not have worked out with this pregnancy but things will work out again when the time is right.

Whenever you may have the urge to cry or get angry, just call me. You have been there through my darkest days...especially as of late. I don't know what I would have done without you and I want to do the same for you.

We have so many wonderful things to look forward to...Diana's Christening....NORTH CONWAY...the holidays...etc etc....can't wait to share all these times with you!

Lastly, look into your daughter's eyes and be thankful that you have that beautiful, healthy girl that fills your life with so much fun!!!

Love, Holly

So how did I do?

How did I do going back to work? I think I did o.k but not nearly as great as I thought I would before I had a baby. I used to think I was so strong and used to be proud of everything I accomplished. Now I seem to be beating myself up and I find myself crying so much. The worst part is that people have noticed and I thought I did a great job at hiding it.

Anyway...it is an ongoing adjustment and this week was much more rough than we anticipated. Our daycare provider, who we had some reservations about already, tried to double our price overnight AND via email..can you believe it? Most people can't...in one word? PSYCHO!! So even if I felt calm about everything, this would have thrown a wrench into adjusting anyway. We feel lucky that we found out right away. We followed our intuition and ended up putting a deposit in with a local daycare center and thank God we did. Diana starts there tomorrow and we are actually excited! Stay tuned.

In the meantime, I am plugging away. I have a beautiful baby girl and she seems to be getting better and better and growing more and more! The good news is that our insurance company is going to cover the expense of her special formula which will be a huge help!

Enough of this serious and depressing talk though....enjoy these pix of Diana at 7 weeks. She is really enjoying bath time and the changing table and she is revving up for Halloween!! :)

We are looking forward to Harvestfest in York this weekend too!

Diana is 6 Weeks Old Today!

I am returning to work tomorrow and I am very sad...well I have mixed emotions really. I am scared to leave my little girl at daycare tomorrow but I am excited to get back into the swing of recruiting. I also get to work from home two days/week so that is my salvation..thank God and thank Bill :)

Here are some pix of our little Princess. Papa Pete was singing 50's tunes to her on Friday and she cried every time he stopped...we all agreed that this child will exhaust us!!! Hey but it will be worth it!

Alexis Turns Two!

We had a ball at Alexis' 2nd birthday party yesterday! It was Diana's first birthday party and she stayed awake, taking it all in for the entire day! We were excited thinking that she may sleep even longer last night and she didn't...joke is on us!

Cass is now expecting her 2nd bundle of joy...I can't believe how fast time flies...it seems like just yesterday that Alexis was 2 hours old. She is now two years...Diana is 6 weeks today and the new baby will be here before we know it in April!!!!

My Hubby's 42 nd Bday Dinner at J. Michael's

We had a fun night out tonight to celebrate Robby's 42nd bday tomorrow. We chose J. Michael's because it is close...fun and LOUD for LOUD babies :)

I love my hubby so much and I am so grateful for all of his hard work with the THREE jobs he pulls and all of the endless emotional support especially over the last 6 weeks.

Babe you are teaching me how to be a great parent and I want to thank you for that and thank you for standing by me...even though at some points, I am sure you want to head for the hills screaming with a martini in your hand! ha ha

Happy Bday...you deserve the BEST
