Friday Favorites (Flying Solo Edition)

Hey Hey it's Fri-Day...linking up with the lovely ladies  HERE

Here are some faves from my week....

 Girl Time

Daddy has been traveling this week and as hard as it is and as tired as I am, I have really appreciated the girl time especially with this little Love Bug who follows me everywhere.  She just wants to be close and she melts my heart :)

Valentine Snack Mix

On Wednesday I shared our favorite little valentine snack to make.  Check it out HERE
and you can find the mix we made last year HERE

 Big Girl Time

I can always count on my tribe to come on over and keep me company...and besties offering to take Pidge and help in anyway just reminded me to be grateful...grateful for the village...excuse the exhausted pic here...crawling to the finish line this week friends!  ;)

Valentine Snack Mix

So as you know by now, I always love sharing recipes here on this little blog.

This is a fun one.  It is something you can whip up easily and with the kiddos.  It is quick, fun, easy and very festive for Valentine's Day.

We tweak it a bit every year like we change up the kind of cereal we use and sometimes we will toss in pretzels.

Here is how we made it this year:

Ingredients:

1 box of Quaker Oatmeal Squares Cereal
1 Bag of Boom Chica Pop, Kettle Corn
1 bag of Valentine M and Ms
1 bag of Conversation Hearts
1 bag of Mini Marshmallows
1 bag of Chocolate Goldfish and
1 bag of Vanilla Cupcake Goldfish

Instructions:

Toss 'em all together and enjoy

Seriously!  That's it!

We put some in mason jars so I can take them to my friends at the office and the rest is for snacking at home- the girls were seriously happy when we sat down to do this!

Weekend Recap (My Chosen Sisters Edition)

So....we are coming off a very fun winter weekend here.  Though our beloved Patriots didn't grab the win last night, other wins over the weekend made up for this heartbreak.  Here is what our little weekend looked like....

Friday Night

Diana had another voice lesson and each week, we see a little more progress and a little more confidence :)

While Diana was singing, Kathy and I enjoyed Chicken Tortilla Soup and tons of catching up.
I shared the recipe last week.  You can find it in my recipe tab above too!

Then we all headed over to the Partington's for First Friday which was a blast.  Heath always plays the best music AND this time he made us all Patriots shots in honor of the big game- they tasted like a carnival in a glass- ha ha!!

Saturday

Mama took off with some besties (or as I like to call them, the sisters I have chosen for myself. Since I don't have a sister, my best girlfriends fill in that void and I love them hard).  Our friend Jess's brother has a beautiful little home up in Ogunquit ME.  So she invited us up overnight and we had a ball and lots of QT!

Daddy kept the girls entertained and the ladies headed up to make a pit stop in Portsmouth (my favorite town in America).  We enjoyed lunch at Surf and then one of our favorite shops Attrezzi.....

Then we headed up to the house in Ogunquit and had so much fun making snacks and getting ready for dinner.  I  snapped some pics around the house because Jess's brother is the best decorator EVA (as we say in New England)

and we snapped a selfie of course...

Later, we headed to dinner.  We went to the same place my Mom and I went a few weeks ago called That Place.  It didn't disappoint.  We all enjoyed a yummy steak dinner and of course had the waitress take a group picture :)

Then we headed back to the house for an epic dance party- Jess and Beth Ann took turns playing DJ and we were lovin' on t he 80's and 90's hits...I snapped a few more pics at the house because I could not get enough of the decor!

Sunday

It was time to pack up and come home.  We loved our little overnight...QT is soooo good for the soul!

When I got home, it was time to take my girls to Target for their prizes and Valentine supplies.  Eva has been doing well with potty training and Diana got an awesome progress report so I let them each pick out a prize.  We also picked up some sparkly paper and decor to decorate Diana's valentine box.

Then we completed her little Valentine project for school- it is a heart that you fill with your passions- I thought it came out so cute!

and then it was time for the big game...sigh...so exciting and intense and then such a heartbreak.  We still love you GOAT

yet Mama is still missing Jimmy G...(insert teary-eyed emoji here)

Anyway, to wrap up the weekend, I will leave you with this....The Boston Red Sox start Spring training in less than 3 weeks- EEK....so excited!  Spring is around the corner!  Hope you had a great weekend!

Friday Favorites (Progress Report Edition)

Well look at that....this week just FLEW BY!  I am praying next week does too ;)

Linking up with the lovely ladies for Friday Favorites HERE

Here are some faves from this week.....

Campaign Season
I love this stuff.  I love helping candidates network and market and with their branding overall.  I have been encouraged to start my own business on the side.  Maybe some day I will because it is a definite passion...oh yeah and Go Shannon!

Fave Eats of The Week

I shared some recipes in my What's Up Wednesday post and they were my faves of the week- Lemon Chicken Piccata Tenders and as we call it "Robby B's Whole 30 Meat Sauce"...I poured mine over a sweet potato and it was heaven

Lilly

So saw this on line and I thought it was perfect...how sweet right?  What a way to be asked to the prom...especially if you are a Lilly Lover (insert heart eyes emoji here)

and while we are on the Lilly subject...I am in the process of putting together this outfit for the spring..I love these Lilly pants and I searched and searched for a more simple and comfy top to go with them...I figured the pants are busy enough...the top needs to be plain plain.  Once the outfit comes together, I will post it.

Timehop...doing it again....

Progress Report
and my absolute fave of the week goes to Diana's progress report...so proud of her hard work and her effort to build strong friendships this year...she has learned to compromise and what it means to be a kind friend..and that is what matters to me most...go Monkey!

Hope you have an amazing weekend!  One day closer to Spring!  Yahoo!
