Happy Friday My Friends! It is August 1st...I can't...simply can't...
Yikes...anyway...sharing a few faves from our week
URI
Diana and I headed down to URI first thing on Wednesday. We had some time to kill so grabbed lunch on the water first, at Tavern On The Sea in Wickford, and then headed to our tour. We made the most of our time together which makes my Mama heart very happy...
We split a couple of apps (Clam Cakes, a RI specialty, and Tuna Tartar)
and enjoyed some fun drinks
Time for our tour!
Go Rams!
We even learned the chant, "Rhody Rhody Rhody...Rams Rams Rams!" So fun!
Then we had just enough time to check into our hotel room and get Diana changed and head back to campus to the Mackal Field House for her very first college cheer clinic!
So...I thought this would be my chance for a nice nap but NOPE..parents could watch and I got the text begging me to come back..so yah know...I obliged...it is really not my thing or anything...HA! I had a blast watching.
Loved seeing Diana learn the Fight Song!
and then she had a blast learning some new stunts...she got tossed in the air a bunch...you can see her for a split second at the end of this video (being tossed in the back...all in black...I just liked capturing the work)
It was a really great experience for these girls!
When the cheer clinic was over at 7pm, we headed back to our hotel and grabbed a quick dinner at our hotel restaurant...it ended up being FAB
URI is now on the list :)
This Guy
Always provides us with entertainment and comedy without even trying- ha!
2025 Blackout Bulletin Board
My committee member Sherry is a creative genius...this year, she designed our board to be 3D...she is simply amazing and I love when she orders us around until she gets the perfect finished product :) We had a little helper in our midst too ;)

Just one this week...really inspired me...

What a fun week and experience for your sweet girl! That seafood is making my mouth water, girl. I live vicariously through you living in New England, I hope you know that! It's my favorite part of the country. Happy Friday! I hope you have the best, most relaxing and fun weekend, my friend. xoxo
My nephew just graduated from high school in May and he loved URI. My sister said the little town was so cute and an easy train ride in to Boston too. He is going to Penn State but URI was a close second. Have a great weekend!
URI looks like an adorable college!! I hope y'all had the best time together. Happy weekend!
URI Looks like such a beautiful campus too; glad it made the cut! Now I kind of want some clam cakes. Those used to be my favorites and I can't remember the last time I had one!
I love a college campus visit and that one looks so pretty! Enjoy your weekend!
August is the Sunday of summer...ugh! URI looks awesome...so cool that you get to experience these things with your girl!! I hope you have a great weekend.
It sounds like you had a lovely time with Diana and the food looks so good. What a great visit to the college and fantastic experience.
The Blackout Bulletin Board looks fab! Great job!
What a beautiful campus! I can see why URI is on the list! And what fun for you two to share these visits! Savor it all!
How is Diana gonna decide?? URI looks like a great place to go to college. Bonus, I'm assuming she wouldn't be too far from home? If she's cheering, mama needs to go to some games, amiright? I hope your weekend is fabulous!!
Awww well when you come up here again, please let me know so we can finally meet up! :)
Wow! Penn State is a fabulous school! YES URI is in an awesome location- close to the ocean and beaches and close to both Providence and Boston- it is a top pick for me but we shall see what she decides :)
Thank you! It is a pretty school in a great location-we shall see!
I really liked them! URI is pretty and in such a great location- part of me really wants her to pick this school but I am biting my tongue :)
