Our very favorite and only favorite this week is Back To School 2025! This is a very special year. Eva is going into 6th grade and will be the oldest grade in her school and Diana...well...Diana is celebrating the First of the Lasts as a Senior!
The Cheer Team along with all of the Fall Sports Teams got to participate in the very first Media Day at WHS on Monday night! I got some pics sent to me...can't wait to see the rest!
Then on Tuesday, since it was the 26th of the month, we started a Senior Year Tradition of gifting Diana a little something to celebrate graduating in 2026. This was the first month and we filled a metal D with some of her favorite snacks :) Each month, on the 26th, until graduation, we will give her a little surprise.
That night, Diana and Cat decided to paint their cars- another favorite Senior Tradition- they came out so cute!
Love the Zach Bryan References
Then we went inside and enjoyed a taco bar for dinner...
Then it was early to bed because the girls were getting up super early to get ready for their big day!
Wednesday August 27th was the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
Eva is going into 6th Grade- she is so excited to get her first ever locker and to wear her new clothes :)
and my friends...this is it....The First of the Lasts
Then and Now....
Diana's Last First Day of School in Windham
First Day of Senior Year!
She got to school early because the tradition in Windham is that the senior girls wear dresses and take pics outside until the bell rings...she was there for it!
Only got a few sneak peaks....(as Diana said, we have to wait for the digitals- it's a thing) ;)
and then Pidge was off on the bus- busy bus stop this year and we love it!
Both girls had a wonderful first day- I was grateful! Such a buzz! When they came home, we ate an early dinner as they were starving- I made homemade lasagna and threw together a Caesar salad. Then the three of us watched the newest episode of TSITP...and all we could say was WOW....best one yet.
Someone insisted on joining us...extra needy because the girls were not home much
Last night, Diana had cheer practice and Eva had softball practice for her club team. I started the series Motorheads and fell asleep very early. I have a feeling that things will be like this, this year...it's ok...one day at a time...my strategy is enjoying it all and just crying a little when I am alone ;)
Did you catch my shirt? I thought it was necessary for the year on hand :)
and finally....I can't let this week go by without mentioning another fave....Oh....My...GOD.....so so happy for them and our girl TS! Such a love story...and I am here for it!! :)
and hey friends! I will be back tomorrow with a BONUS POST! Come back as I share Four Somethings for August and Link up with Jennifer!

What a great first day celebration of back to school for your girls...and welcome to the year of lasts. This is always such an emotionally wrought year for moms of graduating kids! I know you'll soak up every second of this school year. I love how her car turned out, as well as those cheer pics! And Eva's outfit on the first day was adorable! Happy Friday, sweet lady.
Thank you my friend- completely emotional- so bittersweet- such joy and heartache all the time
Hubby isn't happy that Taylor was at the U of Cincy football game last with Travis. UC lost and now he's worried about the Taylor curse, lol. Great pictures of your girls' first days of school. I sub mostly in 6th grade so I can "see" Ava in our 6th grade building- such a formative grade/age for kids. And Diana's last year of school seems to already be off to a great start. Does her license say "Diana"? LOVE it!
it does- it is so her ;) So funny about the TS curse- nope nope- not happening -ha!
What a great tradition of doing something on the 26th of each month! That is so creative and sweet. Hope y'all enjoy the long weekend!
I love the idea of a little treat on the 26th of each month. Extra special. Wishing everyone (including mom) a great year!
It sounds like everyone had a fabulous first week/days back at school! I love Diana and her friend's decorated cars. That is such a fun tradition!
Aww, I loved seeing their excitement about going back to school! Wishing your girls a wonderful year!
I loved the idea when I saw it online- I think it was either Tiktok or Instagram :)
Thank you Joyce- love the idea too!
It really is Joanne. Love some of these traditions these kids are starting- things we never did!
Thank you so much Ruth! :)
What an exciting time for your girls. I hope they both have a great school year!
Aww! The little surprise on the 26th of each month is such a lovely idea and the painted cars look fab! I love all the traditions you have for Senior year!
