Hello Monday (February 6, 2023)

It was a much busier week last week and I was there for it- business and productivity feed my soul!  So by Friday night, I was toast...grateful but toast...anyway I rallied!

Before I get to the weekend, someome came home after school with a Kindness Award for her Responsibility- so proud! :)  Go Pidge!

Friday Night

We braved the frigid temps here (17 below zero!) and headed to Diana's very first show at WHS.  She was in a one act play directed by a senior student.  The play was called "A Reason To Live" and she played Suzy (a Mom).  We really enjoyed it and were so happy that Diana felt it was an amazing experience and learning opportunity- her first foray into dramatic acting.  We are also grateful for the theater community at the high school- the kids are so supportive of each other!

Saturday

We were up bright and early and again braved the frigid temps.  Same Remi...same ;)

Starbucks had a burst pipe so we headed to Dunks instead and then I dropped Diana at dance.  She was going to be there all day- classes in the morning and YAGP rehearsals all afternoon then she was headed to her dance friend's house and later on they were headed to the rest of the one act shows at WHS.

I binged "Partner Track"  and LOVED it- even got to spot our family friend Wes as an extra!

Then it was time for Eva's basketball game- they lost but it was an exciting game!

My parents took off for Florida for the month of February and my brother and I were getting many texts about all of their delays due to the crazy cold!

Later on, Eva's dance and theater pal Lennon, came over for a play date.  We finished the play date with a fun dinner at The Chateau in nearby Andover.  The kids had a ball

I loved bumping into one of my fave guys from town. We served as President and VP of the Windham Wolverines for a few years and had so much fun.  We agreed that when all is said and done, what's most important are the relationships and the friendships you make for sure!

Sunday

We divided and conquered.  Rob took Eva to her softball workouts.  I headed to mass with Papa and then a Family Faith meeting.  I then picked up some birthday treats for Harry so the girls could celebrate him during their YAGP rehearsals which lasted all afternoon.

Eva and I made her Valentine box for school.  This week we will tackle making out her valentines.  Diana is even doing valentines for her WHS Chorus friends- guess it's a thing and they all have valentine boxes waiting to be filled- so cute

Rob and Eva headed to a late hockey game and after I got organized for the week, I crashed for a bit and decompressed.

We are ready to rock another week!  How about you?  What were you up to?

Congratulations Eva! It's always fun to be recognized. And how amazing for Diana to be a play created by a fellow student. That is pretty awesome. I hope you have a great week!

I've not see Partner Track on Netflix yet, have to check that out because I'm always looking for new things to watch. My daughter is in 2nd grade and I don't think they are doing the Vday boxes this year =( It's so fun to make!

Partner Track sounds good. Cool about your friend being in it ;). I thought about you and the cold- assumed that you weren't spared as I read that areas near you had frigid temps. Glad you stayed warm and busy- I'm sure it was wonderful to see Diana acting on stage. What a great opportunity!

We spent Friday night fighting with our generator since we lost power for more than 6 hours.. and woke to a couple of frozen pipes on Saturday; even with the generator our heater could not keep up (thankfully none burst though!). It sounds like you had a fun weekend despite such cold temperatures.

Congratulations to Pidge! And well done to Diana. Looks like you all had a great weekend. I can hardly believe how cold the temps are over there! Oh my goodness the spaghetti and meatballs look so delicious. My favourite kind of meal for sure!!

Yes, I could not believe how cold the weekend was and I'm so glad that it was for only two days. It sounds like you had a nice weekend. I hope you have a nice week Holly.

I really hope Rachel doesn't want to do Valentine's because I haven't thought about them AT ALL. Thankfully our school board is moving away from celebrating all the holidays at school because of equity and diversity because it's less work for us as parents.

Geesh! I heard the temperature where you are was nuts!!! That wind chill. Ouch. It hurts my face just thinking about it! Michigan has been oddly warm. The snow melted today and I wasn't quite ready to see it go...can't it just be 30 degrees with snow and sunshine for two months and then summer?! ;)
