The Grinch's Hot Cocoa

While Daddy was traveling and Diana was dancing, Eva "Pidge" and I had lots of QT together.  Every night, after school and work, we would have our dinner and watch a Hallmark movie.  One night, I promised Pidge that we would make The Grinch's Hot Cocoa and she was sooo excited...

It was the first time I let her help me stir on the stove...we were very careful and she was over the moon thrilled to be helping put together such a fun recipe.

This is such a festive treat for the littles...give it a try..they will love it...for its taste AND look!

Here is what you will need.....

Ingredients:

2 cups Milk
1 cup Half and Half
1 Cup Peppermint Mocha Creamer
1/4 bag white chocolate chips
1/4 bag mint chocolate chips
1 drop of green food coloring
Whipped Cream for Garnish
Crushed Candy Canes or Andes Peppermint Crunch for Garnish
Candy Canes for Stirring

and here is how you put it together

Instructions:

In a large pot, add milk, half and half, creamer and heat over medium heat until hot.

Do NOT boil.

(wearing Elf pajamas really makes the process more fun too) ;)

Add white chocolate chips, mint chocolate chips and stir until completely melted.

Add food coloring.

Stir well.

Top with Whipped Cream and crushed candy canes/peppermint Crunch. Add a big candy cane to the mug for stirring!

Serve warm

ENJOY!

You're so funny Patty! I would say absolutely- like a creme de menthe or a whip cream vodka shot- go for it :)
