What I Wore Wednesday: Miami Edition

 

A Girls' Weekend always calls for great fashion...sometimes comfy...sometimes dressy...and the best excuse to bring out your best!

 

I just got back from a wonderful girls' weekend in sunny Miami and here is what I wore...

 

 

 

For the plane- comfy and cute- Lilly Pulitzer Leggings- Gap Tank- Keds Platform Sneakers- (not pictured Black Cardigan from Stitchfix)

 

For a Food Tour On Our First Day- Comfy yet Chic- Shop Chartreuse Palazzo Pants- Old Navy Tank- Amazon Espadrille Platform Sandals- Straw Crossbody from Ebay

 

Dinner our first night called for a comfy dress- Lilly Pulitzer Tee Shirt Dress

Day Two and Time for the Pool with a Macy's One Piece Bathing Suit and a Lilly Pulitzer White Sheer Coverup

Dinner that night meant another pair of palazzo pants!  Pants from Target- Tank from Gap- White Cardigan from Lilly Pulitzer via Ebay- Espadrille Platform Sandals from Amazon- Straw Crossbody from Ebay

The last night in Miami consisted of a Sunset Cruise and Dinner at Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen.  This meant a Black Tank Midi Dress from Macy's, The Same Espadrille Platform Sandals from Amazon, Turquoise Wrap from Lilly Pulitzer and Turquoise Kendra Scott Rayne Pendant Necklace

 

 

Oh I love vacation fashion...don't you???  Just makes me happy shopping my closet and bringing out the bright colors I haven't seen in awhile!

What I Wore Wednesday (Fort Lauderdale Edition)

I haven't participated in this linkup for quite some time so thought I would jump in with what I wore on my girls trip.  The winter is still hanging on here in New England so this is a fun little escape for me... I can think back to last month when the temps were so warm and I could wear sandals and sleeveless tops!  Yeah!

Here are a few of my vacation outfits....

I saved my favorite dress for the night we went to The Breakers- I was in my happy place.

This is the Lilly Bay Dress in Play That Trunky Music (and I actually wore it again on Easter- found on Ebay)

My favorite outfit of the week was the one I wore on the first night though AND it was not Lilly...go figure!  It is a cute little sleeveless top in buttercup yellow that I snagged at the J Crew outlet and paired with my cropped cuffed jeans from Nordys and white sandals FTW

This Lilly top was a purchase three years ago on Zappos- I have seen it recently on Ebay though so I am sure you could snag it there too!

 and you have to snag a Lilly coverup- this is the Rylie spf 50+ coverup dress in Lobstah Roll- comfy, bright, perfect!

and finally the Lilly Georgia May Palazzo Pants in Beckon Blue Sparkling Grotto (You really can't see them well since I rolled them up so the waves wouldn't get them but you get the point) :)

Stitchfix ..... You Have Redeemed Yourself!

So...I have talked about Stitchfix here before...I kind of had a Love/Hate relationship with Stitchfix.  I loved some of the pieces and couldn't stand others....and then sometimes I could not believe how expensive some pieces were.  

Well.....I cancelled Stitchfix indefinitely and then a few weeks ago, I decided to give it another try.  I noticed, when I re-registered that there were many more questions about my preferences...so I was none too pleased to type RUFFLES, RUFFLES, RUFFLES and LACE, LACE, LACE.... 

and guess what my friends?  This latest Fix was ON POINT!  I also noticed that they really took my price point into consideration and the pieces were much more affordable...FTW!

I ended up with the three of the five pieces.  The two pieces I returned were a sleeveless black top which would be more appropriate in the Spring AND a pink jacket that was just okay....

So....I kept THREE TOPS...yep three!  Yeah!!  They are perfect and exactly what I needed to get me through the rest of Fall and Winter....check them out

Oh ladies...date night?  Girls Night Out?  Right?  I LOVE black in the winter and add ruffles and lace and I am a goner!!  

There ya have it...I am kinda a fan again....spacing out my "fixes" but giving it a shot again...because I crave outfit inspiration and need to get out of my workout clothes and same old black tee from time to time!

What I Wore Wednesday (Lilly Edition)

I thought it was appropriate to share with you some of the Lilly items I have worn so much this summer.

I also want you to know that in no way, could I afford, to buy Lilly clothing all year long and pay retail prices.

Most of the time, I make my purchases on Ebay.  My second, go-to is the After Party sale that Lilly runs twice/year.

Once in awhile, I will snag an item from Lilly directly or via one of her off-sellers or even Zappos.  Every time I purchase an item, I make sure that I sell one to make room AND funds ;)

As I have said, the names of Lilly's prints make the clothing so much more fun.  I was attracted to her prints from a young age- they always made me happy and I always thought "summer always."

Well I haven't participated in this linkup in quite some time.  I made a conscious effort of snapping pics of some recent outfits over the last month.  I am calling this "Spring" even though the temps really started warming up over the last few days!

Although you can't see it that well, I thought I would still share a quick selfie in my golf outfit since I was so happy :)

 

Now that Spring is here, you will see me making more of an effort with my outfits.  I can't wait to be inspired by your outfits!  Grabbing my coffee now :)
