Four Things: June 2026

Hi Friends!  BONUS POST this week as I am linking up with Jenn for Four Somethings.  This year we're sharing something we loved, something that sustained us, something we're carrying forward, and something we're making space for each month.  So...let's get to it!

Loved

Sportsmanship Award for Diana- that's my girl!

and Daddy's Father's Day Gift has already become a fave of mine-cooking dinner on my $11 table from Temu on our back porch FTW!  Ha ha!!

Sustained Me

That same gosh darn Rail Trail ;)

Carrying Forward

Just this...

Making Space For

All the college dorm things- my office went from Grad Party Central to College Dorm Central and I am here for it :)

Can't wait to see YOUR Four Things :)

4 Somethings

Hi Friends!  BONUS POST this week!  I am joining Jennifer  for her fun linkup!  The last Saturday of the month, we always share four things.

As always we're sharing some things we loved, some things we learned, some things that went well, and some things we let go of. So here we go...

Loved

 Fall Lunch with Mum

She always spoils me but once a year, she makes me a "fall lunch"...it was so yummy but the quality time, spilling the tea, was priceless :)

Learned

 How to use ChatGPT

It has helped make some things a little easier for me like: cleaning up some job descriptions...creating flyers for some Surprise Christmas Gifts...and creating an Instagram Ad...it is all so fascinating to me!

Went Well

Diana's College Cheer Recruitment Videos

We hired Amber again...she is the best...and she helped us to create some great videos to send to college cheer programs.  Will share when I can! :)

Let Go Of

Clutter...it is a work in progress but I know it is possible after we did just that and totally transformed our garage!

Share Four Somethings

Hi Friends!  BONUS POST THIS WEEK.  Time to link up with Jen and share four somethings.

As always we're sharing some things we loved, some things we learned, some things that went well, and some things we let go of.

 Loved

Seeing Shania Twain again...5th time...she gets better with age I swear!

Learned

How to work with a client on the buying side of real estate...more work than the selling side but really interesting and fun...yes it can be stressful at times but it always works out the way it is supposed to for sure

Went Well

Eva was recruited to play for a club softball team....and though she was offered a spot, she still had to go through the formal try out process and she "slayed" it as the kids say ;)

Let Go Of

I guess the notion that all professionals and good people will do the right thing.  I celebrated 10 years with my firm this year and I didn't even get a pen.  (That's the joke in my family)...anyway...it really wasn't even recognized...my boss forgot and sent out an email a few weeks later lumping me in with a co-worker's anniversary...yes I am still salty about it but letting go of that anger and disappointment and realizing not everyone will do things the way you expect them to...I will just expect the best from myself and leave the rest behind or "let go of it all"

4 Somethings

Hi Friends!  BONUS POST for the week!  I am joining Jennifer for her fun linkup.  Once a month, we share things we loved, some things we learned, some things that went well, and some things we let go of.

So here we go.....

Loved

Warmer Days- The Rail Trail- Teas- A College Visit to UGA

and some newer tv series ("Good American Family", "Ransom Canyon" and "Paradise")

Learned

There is so much to this college process....making the list...making sure you apply to at least 15 schools...having realistic schools, safety schools and reach schools.  Don't be afraid to apply to private institutions as they sometimes give more aide...so much to think about.

Went Well

The last month or so....college tour at UGA...the prom...Easter...though it is a crazy and busy and sometimes stressful time, I will look back on this month as a great one...here for it all and happy just seeing my kids happy...my heart is squished!

Let Go Of

Some major things/people over the last four months....it has been a challenging year but also one of transformation, compassion...and love...helping my kids through some tough things...remembering that what is most important is their happiness...holding them accountable but setting realistic expectations and reminding them to focus on the good and the people who choose them...not always easy..sometimes it is easier to reflect on the past...second guessing yourself...blaming yourself for things not working out...but true faith is looking forward and doing what you know is right...the rest will fall into place

4 Things

Hi Friends!  I am joining Jenn for her fun linkup and this month we are sharing what we loved, something that needs improvement, accomplished and noticed...so let's get to it!

Something Loved

Well this one was easy.  All the LOVE happening in our household...Diana and Tommy celebrating one official month together (even though we have been "talking" much longer) kids kill me...and Eva having her first boyfriend...yes in 5th grade...besties turned "boyfriend/girlfriend"...he even gifted her a handwritten note and a hockey necklace...then put his # in her phone...I can't

Something That Needs Improvement

Can I say business?  prices?  Sorry to be a Debbie Downer but seriously......

Accomplished

Blackout 2024- very proud and very humbled all at once...just magical

Something Noticed

Totally random but I noticed AND decided that ricotta is my favorite cheese-ha!

Hi Friends!  I am joining Jennifer for her fun linkup and this month we are covering what we loved or disliked, accomplished, improved upon/needs improvement, and noticed

Here we go!

Loved

A slower summer schedule...not as much racing around and seeing happiness like this...

Accomplished

Set up my first buyers in MLS...there are so many new computer systems for me to learn in real state...it is overwhelming but I am slowly getting there!

Improved Upon

Exercise...getting outside almost every day to walk and enjoy this weather...good for the body AND the mind :)  BONUS is that I get my girl with me most of the time too!

Noticed

Cardinals...two so far this week...and it makes me grateful

Share Four Somethings in August

Hi Friends!  I have a bonus post this week as I link up with Jennifer and share Four Somethings for August.  We are talking what we Loved, Learned, Read and Ate...so fun!

Here we go!

Loved

This summer....treasured each day...despite all of the rain we got this year...enjoyed our home...enjoyed our adventures...enjoyed each other

Learned

Clarity comes to you in God's time...stepping away from a situation can bring some clarity too....grateful for the joy my girl is finally feeling which was way overdue

Read

The Hopeless Series by Colleen Hoover- all and all just OK- I still liked "November 9" and the "Beautiful Disaster" Series better.  I also read Elin Hilderbrand's summer novel which I LOVED and a short story by Jennifer Weiner which was great, among some other reads.  I am finishing up August with a top read for 2023- "Everyone Here Is Lying" by Shari Lapena- one of my favorite suspense authors!

Ate

Smaller portions...having less of an appetite these days and I am feeling great about that!  With that being said, I enjoyed the tomatoes and bourrata almost daily in Italy!
