First Things First! Happy 18th Birthday To My First Born- Diana Mary! We love you! When I say 18 years flew by....I wasn't exaggerating my Baby Bird XOXO
"I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean. Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens. Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance. And when you get the chance to sit it out or dance...I hope you dance."
Sara and I are so glad you are here friends! If you chatted about your weekends, we hope you will link up with us below! Here is what our little summer weekend looked like...
Friday Night
It was all about Mama and Eva time...we headed to Sunnycrest Farm to pick our own peaches, plums and nectarines! Then we hit the farm stand on the way out to grab some organic lettuce (because duh Summah of 26) and some other goodies
When we got home, I set us up a salad bar for dinner...we have been alternating Friday Night Pizza Nights with Friday Night Salad Bar Nights and I am not complaining!
After dinner, we filmed a quick video for Tik Tok...the new "Netflix doc trend"...hysterical...check it out... ha ha!!
Then we started watching the movie "Sleepover" until I fell asleep early...it was a big week and I was wiped :/
Saturday
We were up bright and early but took things slow. Rob and I watched the movie "To Catch A Cheater" on Netflix- it was pretty good. Then he and Eva took off for softball practice. I hit the rail trail for an awesome walk!
Then it was time to get some errands done! I was excited for my first errand..."I got to" go to Merrimack to see Diana and bring her a few things...we chatted and caught up in the Jeep and my heart was full :)
Then I did some racing around- picked up a card and gift for my dad...did a return at the post office and then hit up Sugar N Spice to pick up Dad's Cake for his Surprise Bday Party that night!
We all met up at home to get ready for the big night! Then we hit the road to pick up Diana at Merrimack first. When we were waiting for her to come out we spotted this adorable deer. It was just walking around campus like it owned the joint...was not even afraid of humans walking by!
Once Diana came out, we were off to Reading!
We got to the venue, Toscana Forno in Reading. Friends? It is a fabulous Italian Restaurant and my mom reserved a private room for the shindig. My family was there early to set up. We placed the cake and then I decorated the room with all of the pictures and frames I had put together. They were pics of my Dad in all stages of his life- my favorite part!
Everyone started arriving around 5:30 and we greeted them and started enjoying appetizers together which were incredible. My mom did such a great job- there were stuffed mushrooms, mini beef wellington and coconut shrimp- delish
Then...around 6...the big surprise! My dad was quite emotional :/
We enjoyed a family style meal of Veal Piccata, Gnocchi Pomodoro, Pasta Primavera, Caesar Salad and Bread- all so good!
It was such an amazing night!
Sunday
We took the chance to sleep in! There were snuggles with Remi which are always a fave :)
Then we were up to enjoy our coffee and tea. Eva did some filming for me for my next installment of Meal Planning on Tik Tok :)
She and her two besties decided to open their Dirty Soda Shop again and even though the weather wasn't cooperating, they got some customers throughout the afternoon!
They even decided to dance in the rain in hopes of flagging down some more customers...they kill me!
Later on, Eva and Rob headed to hockey. I made us dinner and then watched the movie "Don't Say Good Luck." Oh friends it killed me :/ Have you seen it?
We crashed pretty early...what were you all up to?

Ooh, I love a successful happy surprise. Looks like a wonderful party and so special to have all his family there to mark the milestone. So nice Diana could be there too. Having her close will be a blessing. I'm not on Tik Tok but love the recipe idea. Have a great week Holly!

I thought I had left a comment but it didn't seem to take, so if I duplicate please forgive me!
You had a lovely party! It was so beautiful! You do have a wonderful family! Is your daughters school close by? I'm sure its still a big adjustment for her not to be living in your house but i'm sure it would be a lot better if she was close! It's so bittersweet! My girl is driving to school so that's nice but she's still gone most of the time. I'm glad you have a great week, and I hope this week is just as nice :)
