Hi Friends and Happy Monday! I am here with Sarah and we are chatting about our weekends. If you did the same, link up with us below so we can see what you were up to!
Here is what our magical weekend looked like...
Friday
Happy Halloween!
My mom put together beautiful baskets for the girls and dropped them off the day before so they would have them- lucky girls I tell ya
Surprised the girls with festive Munchkins first thing :)
As I mentioned last week, Diana had a party and Eva went out with friends to Trick Or Treat so Rob and I were home giving out candy. Diana was able to eat a little of my festive dinner before taking off.
The Jack O Lantern Joes- Rob and I were big fans
and we also made the Ghost Water cocktails that Shay has on her website
We didn't get many Trick Or Treaters- BOO! We got about 20. The highlight of our night, besides our dinner of Jack O Lantern Joes was Sylvie coming over for her treats- she and her parents and Auntie Ally Trick Or Treated in our neighborhood :)
It was an early night, for the most part, Rob picked up Diana and friends from said party so everyone was home a little after midnight. I had already fallen asleep ;)
Eva and her pals
Diana in her element (dressed as Ke$ha)
Saturday
It was SENIOR DAY for the Football Players and Cheerleaders. It was a memorable day for all of us! It started with setting up our cheer tailgate first thing but it was SO windy so we had to get creative with weights, etc. Around 10:30 we headed up to the turf field for family pictures
After pictures, we started greeting our guests then the football families invited us to set up our collages with theirs against the field house so the wind wouldn't take them down
Then it was time to meet back up at the school to line up and get ready for the big procession- that was my favorite part- we got to join Diana as she marched onto the field- very emotional
Diana picked Ms. Bethany to be her Honored Teacher for the game too- perfect choice!
Our friends from Londonderry came to see the procession and say a quick hello -grateful they came for Diana :)
At halftime, Diana got to walk out on the field with Bethany- it was emotional- she has been the biggest support to Diana and truly helped her be the student she is today!
The game, unfortunately was a mess. It was not the same team we have been watching the last several weeks- yikes!
Thank God we already made the playoffs and have at least one more game- at home next Saturday. My wish is that they win so we can get one more Friday Night Game this year! Ahhh!!
After the game, we all headed home to celebrate Diana
Last night, we crashed early and hard but Diana went out with friends to see the new movie Regretting You- have you seen it? It is based on Colleen Hoover's novel which I ready so long ago. I really want to see it- Diana thinks I will like it
Sunday
Thank God for Daylight Savings....we had a slow start...felt so good to sleep in a little...watch a little Hallmark...have a hot shower and a hot coffee for a change. Then the girls convinced me to take a ride and hit Starbucks of course. Then it was time for meal planning and grocery shopping. Rob and I also headed to mass. Then I came home to blog and cook our dinner and get organized for the week.
What were you all up to?

What a great weekend! Love how the school went all out for the seniors! They deserve it- so maybe I missed it but parents don't go out on the field with their seniors? That is how it's done here. I love how you are still using your beautifully decorated garage- it was the perfect backdrop for pictures again- how cool! Glad you got to rest some yesterday! Have a great Monday, friend.
So funny you should ask that. They used to bring the families onto the field at halftime but now they have them march in with the football players and cheerleaders and during halftime, they march out with their honored teachers- they combine Senior Day with Staff Day during football season. Basketball season is different. They announce each athlete and their families during the beginning of the game and you go out on the court :)
What a fun and emotional weekend! I loved seeing the girls dressed for Halloween and hearing about the senior day for Diana. Fun times!
Aww! What cute Halloween baskets! It sounds like everyone had a great time, I was left home handing out the Halloween candy too. Yum to those cocktails!
Saturday sounds like such a fun day! Fab photos!!
What a fun weekend! Cute baskets by your mom! I want to try that ghost water - looks so cool!
Aww thank you friend- was in all the feels!
It really was chill and fun :)
