Hi Friends and Happy Friday! Friday the 13th? Well let's just not mention it shall we? We are treading lightly...it is March and all...anyway, here are a few faves from our week....short and sweet...
MEMEs/Images That Brought Me A Smile
Grammy's Anniversary
This week marked 8 years since my mother in law passed- we visit her often, at the cemetery down the street, but we miss her all the time. We feel her presence, always, especially as we celebrate special moments with the girls.
Diana's College Cheer Signing at WHS
Last night, we attended Diana's very last Sports Awards Night at WHS. At these awards, they also hold ceremonies for athletes who are signing to play a sport at the college level. Diana got to sign last night. It was very special. The grandparents were all in tow and we enjoyed the ceremony and then the Sports Awards right after. We all agreed that we know so many of the kids after attending so many games and you find yourself celebrating all of their victories!
Can I be raw and candid here for a moment friends? Yesterday ended up being a really hard day for us. Thank God we had this special ceremony at night to cheer us all up. I kept thinking back to Tuesday and how it was one of my favorite days personally and professionally and then yesterday everything seemed to fall apart- work wise- kid wise- drama and heartbreak and such- I felt the hits just keep on coming- checked if there was a full moon- there wasn't- then I really started questioning my faith- I have been lately and it got real yesterday- I have never had doubts like I have recently and that makes me sad- anyway- onward and upward- no other choice
Have a wonderful weekend XOXO

I'm sorry your day was rough yesterday. It seems like the enemy knows when to attack. Thank goodness you had the wonderful event of signing in the evening. It sounds like a special evening for everyone- you all look great. I love the Barbie meme about the best friend and hating someone. That one hits close to home for someone I know and though the situation is overall terrible, at some point, it's laugh or cry and you may as well laugh about it. I will be sending that one on to the person to whom it pertains. Have a great weekend, friend!
Isn't that the crazy thing about life? You have joy and sorrow all at once? I am sorry you had a hard day. I love the meme about God's plan being better. What a great visual. Sometimes I think it's my hormones as I experience some high highs and low lows. It's so hard to be a modern day woman - you are momming it hard and working full time and a spouse and a dog mom. It's a lot and not everything will be 100% all at the same time.
Lovely photos and funny memes. I am sorry to hear that yesterday was such an awful day (except for the signing). I hope things will turn out well.
So true about laughing- I will do my best! Hope your weekend is fab my friend XO
So very true- thank you for the reminder XO
Thank you :)
Holly, I am so sorry you had such a difficult day. I know it is so unsettling when we hit lows that cause us to question our faith, along with everything else. I am praying you are able to hang on to the knowledge that faith is the true way to weather storms even when moments cause us to question. I believe God can handle it and if we allow ourselves we often feel He is holding us even closer. I am praying you can feel His love stronger than ever but always know you can share here so we know you need extra prayers. I admire how you keep it real with your readers .
My mom used to always say “After the rain the birds sing” which is always a reminder fof me to just keep going.
One of my life sayings is how feelings run on parallel tracks and how we can experience 2 things at the same time. I was sad for your sadness, but how healthy to acknowledge, sit in it and still be able to move on and celebrate the other joys around you in life.
I loved everyone of those memes!! With each one, I am nodding my head yes, yes, yes. Oh to sit facing backwards in a station wagon again! Happy weekend!
What an exciting day for Diana! I'm so sorry to hear that yesterday was tough, though. Praying for you Holly! I hope you have a great, relaxing weekend.
Yep! I am ignoring the date too. Eek!
hahaha! The memes! The thin ice one is my two girls and I always have a last-er straw!
How wonderful that you still feel your mother in laws presence. Beautiful photos!
You must be so proud of Diana! What a special occasion to attend.
Sending love and hugs. It sounds like a rough day for you. I hope the weekend is better for you.
Holly, I have been in your exact shoes not that long ago, really questioning why I'm being attacked at every turn. I read a Bible study one day that talked about God having a literal hedge of protection surrounding us and even though the enemy will try to get through that, he never will. That was SUCH a huge comfort for me. Doesn't mean things won't happen, but we will always have God on our side. My favorite song right now is called "Surrounded (Fight My Battles)" by Upper Room, it's kind of my anthem song. Hang in there mama, like Amy said, you are in the thick of it all right now. Gods got your back (and so do we!!)
What a beautiful phrase- thank you for sharing Marla and thank you so much for the important reminder here XO
Yes so true about feelings- thank you Marilyn
Thank you Maddie :)
Thank you Kim- Mothers of girls can get those memes for sure- ha!
Thank you so much Cara- going to look up that song now- I appreciate you always being here XO
