Hello Monday (January 26, 2026)

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!  I am here with Sarah and all of YOU to dish about our weekends...let's get to it!

Friday Night

It was another exciting basketball game!  Our Jags beat Keene 43-40!  Another "nail bita"...and I only got some videos...no pics...but all the grandparents were in tow as well as Eva and her bestie

Saturday

It was a nice slow morning...Rob and I finished His and Hers on Netflix- wow- loved it- loved it

I had done the meal planning and placed our grocery order on Friday but due to the impending storm, our delivery was pushed until Saturday.  The girls and I had already left the house by the time they arrived so Robby B put everything away for me.

We left the house a little before 1 to pick up Kayla and then Ally and headed into Boston!  This is the girls' Christmas present.

We parked in a lot where I pre-paid for a spot  and can I tell you?  It was probably the coldest I ever was- it was like 2 degrees and it felt like minus 25! Eek!  What a walk!  The show was worth it though...

It was our annual Dancing With The Stars adventure and we agreed that it was the best show yet.  We got to see it at the Boch Center Wang Theater which is so beautiful and the best in the city in my opinion.  We were wow'd!

After dinner, we took another freezing cold walk over to Maggiano's for dinner and that didn't disappoint either- great Italian food and many laughs thanks to a Tiktok the girls were making- I was their captive audience ;)

and I took some pics of the girls to send to Rob!

and then he told me to send him a pic of me- so I did...and we were dying...check out the dude in the back...ha ha!!

After dinner, Diana convinced me to hail an Uber back to our parking garage- our driver told us everyone was doing the same so I didn't feel so bad.  We actually got out of the city very quickly and headed back towards home.  We stopped at the Target in Salem to change in their bathroom- ha!  It is always clean.  Then we headed over to the Ice Center in Salem for the big Windham Salem Hockey game- huge rivalry- it was a true battle- Windham lost to Salem 3-2.  Diana, Rob, his dad, Eva and I were disappointed with the end result but Kayla and Ally celebrated as Salem High is their al ma mater - Windham High was not built until they both had graduated.

I also got to hang with my bestie Bethany

After the game, Diana had some friends stay over but this time we slept through all of their noise.

Sunday

It was a slow start...Rob and Eva and his dad headed to her hockey game in Marlborough MA and I headed to church and then the gym.  After that, I made us a nice Sunday dinner.

I also watched "The People We Meet On Vacation." This was a recommendation by so many of you- thank you.  I thought it was adorable!

When everyone got home, we all ate.  Rob brought Diana to work but they sent her home almost immediately due to the storm.

We are hunkered down....hoping we don't lose power as our generator is on the fritz....it was a relaxing evening...well for me...Rob did some snow-blowing and shoveling.  I am holding my breath!

Hope you all stayed safe and warm...Happy Monday!

Looks like a nice weekend! So your snow started on Sunday? I guess it makes sense- it had to make its way to East Coast. The DWTS events looks like a lot of fun, especially dinner. You guys look great (except the guy in the back...) all dressed up for the show and dinner. I hope your power stays on and the temps aren't too low and the snow isn't too high. Have a great weekend!

Yup! It started Sunday late morning...still going but what has saved us is no wind. How much snow did you get? Wishing you all the warmth and coziness my friend!

What a fun weekend! You look fab in the picture and the guy is too funny! I hope your power stays on through the storm. We are finished with the snow, but now it's going to be so cold and a littel windy. Glad you were able to sleep through Diana and friends. Have a great week!

What a fun weekend! I've always wanted to attend a DWTS show. I would have loved to have gone when Derek Hough was traveling. Your night in Boston sounds like so much fun...and so, so cold. I don't blame you for taking an Uber back to the parking garage. Happy Monday, sweet friend!

Your time in Boston sounds like so much fun! For some reason I feel like we always visit Boston in the freezing cold winter weather and hardly ever when it's nice and warm and out. We had a short power outage from a car accident but it was only out for like an hour so that wasn't bad.

I hope you keep your power. The photo bomber is hilarious! I'm so excited to hear the DWTS show was awesome. I'm headed to NYC in Feb to see the show with my daughter!

It sounds like you made out ok with the snow storm. My husband was out there a lot yesterday shoveling so much snow. I can't wait for spring! Enjoy the week and stay warm!

What a fun filled weekend. I hope you did not lose power! WE had the cold temperatures but not too much snow. I hoped the Colorado Rockies would get a lot of snow, as it has been a very dry winter here, but did not turn out that way.

Well maybe we can meet up in Boston this coming summer for lunch or dinner? That would be fun- LOVE Boston in the summer :) Glad you only lost power for an hour- not bad at all!
