Friday Favorites (March 17, 2023)

Hi Friends and Happy Friday!  Yeah!  We made it!

Linking up HERE and sharing some faves from our week

Lessons In Chemistry

Book Club is Back!  Book Club #23 to be exact and we read "Lessons In Chemistry" by Bonnie Garmus- cute read- not something I would usually pick so glad I did- enjoyed it even though parts were slow

Voting Day

Well we voted...Rob is almost officially completely done on the school board- once the new members are sworn in next week he will be off the hook...anyway I digress...it was a Nor'easter here and he got me to and from the polls safely first thing on Tuesday.  We were pleased with the results- all of the warrant articles passed on our school ballot and our two candidates got elected in so we are hopeful!  Not sure about all of the results on the town side yet- I pay attention more to the school side but I do know the folks on the selctmen board and planning board so we are in pretty good shape there!  Just love everything about election season- politics is in my blood I guess :)

and weren't we just here?  NINE years ago...pregnant with Eva...time truly does fly....sigh

Remi was not pleased with us when we returned...it was like he was saying "you went out in this?" ha!

Beautiful Sunrise- with My Girl

On the way to school Monday morning...pit stop at Dunks for her "Large French Vanilla Iced Coffee with Two Pumps of Caramel" ....don't even get me started ;)

St. Patty's Day

I spell it the way I like...anyway...we are not Irish but some little "Narc" insisted we set a trap so the Leprechaun did surprise the girls with a few treats...she was up with the birds to make sure her ploy worked too ;)

My only St. Patty's tradition?  Dinner with the Fab Four- can't wait for tonight!  This will be our 6th Annual :)

Fave Meal of the Week

Truth be told my food at wine group was incredible but when I think about my healthy week, this one would be it ;)

Wine Group

Speaking of wine group...Lisa hosted and she outdid herself...our theme was  "Women In Wine" so we sampled wines from all women owned wineries OR women winemakers- so cool!

Meme

Yup..just one this week....that powerful

AIRS Training

BEST FOR LAST!  My company is paying for me to take a class this week.  I am taking a course and studying to be a Certified Social and New Media Recruiter.  My first class was four hours yesterday.  I have another four hours on tap today then I have a week to take the exam.  I am going to try to get the exam done between today and tomorrow.  Friends?  It is tough stuff BUT also right up my alley...the content is endless and I am taking pages and pages of notes...and although I have writer's cramp I am LOVING it...the content is SO up my alley and I am so excited for all of the new things to share with my company.  For our little engine, we are doing a great job BUT there is so much more we can be doing and I am so excited to get started- YEAH!!  :)

Have a great weekend friends!

  1. You have had so much good stuff going on, Holly! Congrats on the training for new certification. Your wine day and book club look like fun get togethers. Hopefully that snowstorm was the last one of the season and sunny, warm skies lie ahead (my "Irish" blessing to you, lol).
