It has been a whirlwind of a spring from celebrating My Mom's and Father In Law's Milestone Birthdays to Eva's First Communion and Confirmation to Theater Shows and Dance Shows and Softball Games plus Hosting Kayla's Baby Shower and Working and School all in between and all of the activities that go with that...I finally feel like I can take a breath...but before I do...here is a little look at Life...Lately...
Wednesday
Diana
finished school on Wednesday when she took her very last final. I can't
believe she is already done with one year of high school. It is just
crazy to me! Despite so many challenges, she fought through and had a
great year ending the year with awesome grades, getting re-elected as
Class Secretary and re-elected as her Choir Class Officer. Very proud
of all she did!
The night before the last day of school for Eva, we headed to see Elite Feet's Spring Showcase and we were BLOWN AWAY by the talent. It was fun seeing Eva's friends on stage too :)
Thursday
Eva finished up 3rd Grade! She had an amazing year with a great teacher, awesome friends and academic growth! She makes me proud always :)
and true to fashion she cried after school as she would miss her teacher :(
Thursday Night
My
besties and I always go to the Winter Wine Fest in nearby Manchester
every year. It is the one time per year where winemakers visit from
around the world and we are offered amazing prices on wine for one week
only. Well COVID killed this amazing event and as a result it was
cancelled in 2021 and then even again in 2022. When it didn't happen
this January either, we thought it was gone for good, but our ring
leader Laurel, did some research and learned it would be delayed this
year.
So..the event finally happened on Thursday night and it did not disappoint. The Fab Four went to dinner first at one of our faves, The Foundry. Then we walked up to the Double Tree Hotel where the wine festival would be occurring. We met up with two additional friends and started our tour. We also bumped into several friends from town.
But the BEST part of the night was reconnecting with some of our favorite "Wine Folks" from the business. We hadn't seen them since 2020 due to the C word.
Yeah! We finally got to see John again! :)
The New Chuck- he looks amazing!
Us and this amazing winemaker- he recently graduated from Cornell with a degree in Wine Making and now he is learning how to become a salesperson for the first time...talking to people does not come naturally...the science does..I told him we would show him the way! :)
Congrats to your girls on finishing out the school year strong and for having good school years. The wine festival looks like so much fun and it was obviously much appreciated for not having occurred for several years. A degree in wine making- I didn't know something like that even existed ;). The event must attract the best in the biz!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun girl's night out! I think it's fun to do different things with girlfriends. One of my favorite memories is when some friends and I went to one of those Board and Brush places and made wood signs for our home. Ours hangs above our bed! Congrats to your sweet girls! I know you're proud.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun wine night! I'm so glad things are getting back to normal after several years of covid craziness!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to both your girls on a successful year of school! And yay for events returning post-Covid!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's both amazing and sad to see our children grow up, isn't it! What a fun girls night!
