Hi Friends and Happy Monday! Hope you will join Sarah and me for this fun linkup and share what you did over the weekend! Here is what ours looked like
Friday Night
We were waiting for Diana to return from her school trip to Philadelphia so we killed some time with a quick dinner while Eva was in hip hop then we brought her over to her softball practice a little late.
The school was running a bit late and by the time Rob picked her and her friends up it was almost 9:45 and this Mama was in bed! When she came in to say goodnight, I was able to wake up for a moment to tell her Welcome Home and I loved her....
Life 360 is how we tracked her and her adventure- highly recommend this app when you have teens!
Saturday
It was a unique day. I was up at the crack of dawn to head down to Acton so I could participate in the Emerson Hospital 5K for Cancer Walk with my firm. It was so chilly but we made the most of it...really felt great to get out and walk for this cause and to do it as a company. We are doing things all year to celebrate our 40 year anniversary. We participated in some social media advertising and then did this walk...we are looking for another charity event to do in Q3 and then we will have a large celebration with clients and candidates in Boston in Q4. Such a great reason to celebrate!
Here is our group in our team shirts :)
While I was at the walk, Daddy brought the girls to Starbucks and then dropped Diana off at dance. Then he and Papa and Pidge headed to the local outlets to find shoes for the wedding. While there, they bumped into Zoe's parents. They were having a craft fair at the outlets and Zoe's mom is a talented glass artist. Pidge was enthralled and asked Nancy a million questions to learn about her business. So Nancy kept Pidge with her while the guys went and found their shoes. She started helping Nancy get sales and I was dying laughing at the stories! Nancy even sent me this pic of them- so cute!
That took up most of the morning, so after that, I dropped Janie off at home and then headed to meet my fam for a quick lunch. We got to hear all of Diana's stories from Philly and laughed so hard at some things. We are so grateful she got this experience!
A few more shots....and yes from her friends..not even her...all I got to share with you ;)
We also were surprised with a review and article on the Charlie Brown show in our local paper- the Windham Independent...Diana screamed...she was happy with the feedback :)
After lunch, we all headed to Eva's softball game...grateful that Robby B brought us a blanket to snuggle up with- it felt like football weather- ugh! (Thank God this week it will finally warm up here- we have had enough!)
Pidge made us proud...I kept seeing visions of Ally at her age...she looked so much like her up at bat and out in the field...brought back some great memories :)
That night, we got some sushi takeout and watched the Red Panda...well Diana couldn't be bothered. She was up in her room facetiming with her dance friends to catch up...but Eva and Remi were excited ;)
Sunday
Happy Mother's Day! It was a great day. My mom came over first thing and we took a drive up to the beach...we got to catch up on our ride and then faced a cold and windy walk. Though our walk didn't last long, our fun did. Grateful for the quality time spent.
Is there anything better than the ocean? I really don't think so...especially in New England
Then we headed home to change and have a mimosa :) We opened gifts from each other and from the girls and then all headed out to breakfast at a great little place in the next town over- Ellie's Farmhouse- it was packed and we waited forever for our food but it was a great way to celebrate- here is my veggie bowl- so good!
Later on, Kayla and Zach came to visit and brought me a lovely gift and card...the best part was catching up and having some laughs though.
Grateful...hope this week is a good one for all of you!
Looks like a great weekend, Holly! How nice to get Diana back from her fun trip and then to see that amazing review ;). I'm glad you had a great Mother's Day- the ocean, spending time with your family, yummy food- how could you go wrong?! I hope you have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great weekend you had! I love that picture of you and your mom at the beach. I am sure your daughter was pumped at that review in the paper, how cool is that?! I hope you have a great day and week, friend!
