2021: My Year In Review

 



Hi Friends!  Every year I do a "Year In Review"...I love doing this because I love looking back...this is my electronic scrapbook if you will....so here we go



January

 

 We had a girls' night at Copper Door to celebrate Ally's Birthday

 

After remote learning for most of the fall, Pidge was SO EXCITED to be heading back to school, in person, full time!


 

We watched the inauguration


 

Pidge continued being her shark self on the ice ;)



 


February


There was more hockey!

 

and more dance of course...even after a snowstorm!

 

We enjoyed the school district deliberative session

 

Date Walks Continued...even when it was NINE degrees....yikes :/

 

Mama and Daddy enjoyed a romantic Valentine dinner at Villaggio Ristorante in Manchester

 

Mama got vaccinated!



March


We watched Daddy's new band live on FB TV!

 

The guys played indoor virtual golf

 

The Dance Moms celebrated Misty's 40th!

 

We enjoyed another town election especially when our favorite school board candidates were a shoe in

 

Remi was and still is our love....and he even tried to go to yoga with Mama one morning ;)

 

The Fab Four continued our tradition of a night out during St Patty's Day Weekend- always starting at Hanover Street Chop House

 

Diana competed in YAGP for the first time and enjoyed a fun photo shoot the weekend before during dress rehearsals!

 

We celebrated Mimi's Birthday

 

and Papa Bob's Birthday!

 

Remi attended obedient school...it was somewhat helpful but not completely- HA!



April

 

Daddy got vaccinated!

 

We celebrated Good Friday and Easter with our favorite traditions that were back again!

 


 

Mama's Gym Opened up in a new location and it is amazing

 

 

Eva LOVED Softball!

 
 

Mama pulled together a fab 50th Bday Celebration Weekend for Lea

 

 

We celebrated Eva's 7th Birthday with friends.....

 

 

and then family...

 

 

and we wrapped up the month with a fun long weekend in Palm Beach FL

 


 

May


Mama enjoyed a trip to Aruba to celebrate Cass and Laurel's 50th Birthdays!

 

Diana celebrated winning first place in Windham and then first place in NH for the National PTA Competition- her category was Dance Choreography

 

Most weekends in May consisted of filming the End Of Year Show- Wizard of Oz and it was yet again, a family effort


 

Despite all of the filming, we snuck in a fun Mother's Day Brunch

 

We celebrated BA's Birthday

 

and we opened the pool nice and early!


Mama LOVED driving with the top down in the new Jeep...with her sidekick of course ;)

 

We planted some herbs and veggies on our deck

 

 

We celebrated a very rainy Memorial Day Weekend with our friends and family and things cleared up in time for our favorite parade 

 


 

 

June 

The girls' finally completed their 2021 AAB Performance Awards- due to COVID they had been postponed from March to June!  Eva achieved GOLD and Diana achieved GOLD WITH DISTINCTION with another scholarship to AAB's Summer School



 

We enjoyed our favorite weekend of the summer up in Portsmouth and the Seacoast so we could attend the girls' movie premier of The Wizard Of Oz!




Mama and Shannon stepped down from our executive positions on the PTA...hard thing to do but made sense...love this girl

 

 

There was some solid Soul Sisters Time!

 

 

Diana got vaccinated!

 

 

The girls wrapped up a very challenging and yet successful school year- so proud!

 

 

Mama and BA joined Suzy and Rob and walked the F2FC 5K on a beautiful and hot day!

 

 

We celebrated  Father's Day at home with an awesome pool day!


 

and we wrapped up the month with an awesome weekend with our family in Ogunquit ME :)

 

 

and Mama hosted Book Club!

 



July



We started the month with a VERY rainy yet VERY fun 4th of July Weekend at Laurel and Tom's Lake House

 

and then enjoyed a sunny day back at the lake again the following weekend!

 

 

Diana enjoyed the AAB Summer program virtually with her dance pals

 

 

and she also enjoyed Film Camp

 

 

While Pidge enjoyed cooking camp!

 

 

and her first sleepover with bestie Kyla

 

 

Mama enjoyed celebrating her company's survival during COVID and the special team that we are!  Fabulous night in Boston!

 

 

Mama also enjoyed Karen's surprise Birthday Lunch

 

 

and we loved watching Caden as Aladdin in his summer theater camp production

 

 

Mrs M helped Diana prepare for her audition for the Rockettes' Christmas Spectacular

 

 

We had a fun weekend up at Wild Acres Camp Ground with Dance Pals

 


 

and wrapped up the month watching the TTC Theater Camp's Production- outside and with several films- a very different year




August


We celebrated my Dad turning 80 with a surprise weekend on the Cape- it was such a blast- beautiful weather and many many laughs- wish we could go back!


 

We watched some of the Summer Olympics

 

We said goodbye to Father Brian...that was a tough one...he is now in the missionaries in the Dominican Republic...exactly where he wants to be...but we still miss him

 

There was more Soul Sister time!

 

The girls had so much fun checking off things on their Summer List....especially when they got to spend an evening with Gabby!

 

We golfed...once...I don't even want to talk about it..not nearly enough!


The girls LOVED being in Beauty And The Beast as Belle and Chip!

and Diana and I squeezed in our Mom and Daughter Boogie Board Day!

 

Diana enjoyed Mrs. M's Dance Intensives

and we enjoyed a Red Sox Game at Fenway with our family and besties...on the hottest day of the year!

 

and another weekend at the lake ....so fun

and Diana celebrated turning 13 with a very special day with her besties



September


We were back at soccer with Pidge!

 


The girls went back to school- 8th and 2nd grades!

 

My besties took me out to Eddie V's for my Birthday- new fave restaurant!

 

My BFF took me to my favorite places on my actual bday- the beach and Portsmouth for lunch!

 

My Mom and I enjoyed a wonderful overnight in York ME over Labor Day Weekend :)

 

Eva came up with the idea to have a lemonade stand to raise money for families who are battling cancer- she ended up donating her funds raised to the Windham Blackout Cancer charity :)

 

The actual Windham Blackout Charity hit records numbers for donations this year as Mama jumped back in to help lead the charge!


 

Kayla and Marshall got engaged!

 

and the girls auditioned for the Nutcracker yet again


 

We started attending Family Faith sessions as we all help Eva prepare for Reconciliation and First Communion

 

and we celebrated Laurel turning 50 with an epic celebration/the talk of the town/HA!



October


We got "Boosted!"



We hit up "Screemfest" at Canobie Lake Park


 
 
We loved Apple Picking and Lunch with the Fournier Girls

 
Diana spent tons of time with her Middle School tribe and we are all grateful for a great group of kids

 
 
We celebrated Daddy's Birthday!

Mama started treasuring 30 minutes every Monday afternoon- picking up Pidge from school and dropping her off at dance class...especially when I got to see her slick dance moves ;)
 
 
 
We snagged a picture of Remi at his grooming appointment and the pure bliss he feels- ha!

Mama hosted Wine Group
 
 
 
and we were THRILLED to be able to return to the Milford Pumpkin Festival!

and we celebrated Kayla and Marshall's engagement with an intimate party at home



We wrapped up the month celebrating Halloween Weekend with our friends- all weekend long!







November


We decorated for Christmas!

 

 
 
Mama and Diana enjoyed a weekend in NYC with our friends- we toured the 9/11 Museum, had some great meals and went to see Diana's idol, Megan Hilty
 
 
 
 
Mama and Cass enjoyed their annual Risotto Night!


 
 
There were Nutcracker Hair Parties
 
 
 
and plenty of school board meetings of course!


 
and Eva got vaccinated!
 
 
 
We Nutcracker'd hard every weekend, all month!
 
 
We enjoyed bringing back our "Friendsgiving" Tradition on Thanksgiving Eve!

 
and we were excited to partake in the annual tradition that came back this year- the Windham Turkey Trot!
 
 
We loved hosting Thanksgiving Dinner for our fam
 
 
 
Mama and Cass enjoyed their Black Friday Tradition

and we LOVED Nutcracker 2021- especially being able to see the LIVE production again this year in the THEATER! :)

In between the festivities, Tuesdays in the office brought Mama joy and even some excitement "Hallmark Style" ha!

and a restful week with a few get togethers are on tap to round out our year!  With so so many challenges, looking back I am still grateful...grateful for getting some normalcy back and especially grateful for time with our people and watching our girls do what they love...HOWEVER..I am really excited to welcome 2022!  How about you?  Thanks for following along and thank you for being part of this wonderful blogging community!  Grateful for all of YOU!
