We just got back from an amazing week in Orlando!
We are so very blessed.
We got to spend quality time with both friends and family AND the weather was amazing- 80's and low 90's...yes a little hot BUT I am not complaining (especially since we came back and had to turn the heat on again!)
Taking off for the airport! We left on Eva's actual birthday! She is 2!
At the aiport- our "Junior Officer"
Mouse Ears from the Fourniers ;)
On Sunday we flew in and got settled at our hotel- Sheraton Vistana
It was amazing. We were in the fountains building and got to enjoy the fountains pool and the Tacky Tiki Bar
We unwound as the kids swam- we enjoyed some tropical cocktails and connecting with friends and my parents who flew in too!
On Monday, we headed to Magic Kingdom with our family of four- it was a special day that we got to enjoy alone
On this day, we got to enjoy Ariel's Grotto, Peter Pan, It's a Small World, the Hall of Presidents and Diana met Princess Tiana! We also got to see a parade and a quick lunch in Liberty Square
Later on, we headed over to Disney Springs so
Diana could watch some of her friends dance with their groups
Mama and Auntie Cass wore matching Lily tops (and no it was not planned!)
After the show, it was Ladies Night Out at Disney Springs
Beth Ann and I went to Paradiso 27 for a couple of drinks
When the other ladies were ready, they met us there and then we all headed over to The Boathouse for an amazing dinner (including the incredible Baked Alaska for dessert)
The Shrimp and Grits? To die for!
Daddy and the Girls enjoyed dinner at Rainforest Cafe!
Tuesday was our day with everyone in Universal- we had a blast!
The Dr. Seuss area was the best for our kids because of our ages
The older kids, however, really enjoyed the Harry Potter rides and attractions
Diana got to enjoy one roller coaster in the Harry Potter area- she wanted to sit with Auntie Cass because she trusts her :) (Mama sat behind with her with Beth Ann and was terrorized) ha ha!!
Later on, we really enjoyed the E.T. ride!
Then Pidge got to visit the home of one of her heroes- Curious George!
That night, we all met up for a group dinner at Margaritaville at Universal City Walk
We had a blast!
Everyone getting their time with Pidge at the end of the night :)
On Wednesday, we spent the day with Mimi and Papa in Magic Kingdom and oh what fun we had
Despite my parents being under the weather, we made the most of it and had a truly special time
On this day, we enjoyed breakfast at the Polynesian together to start
and then we had to get our obligatory family photos in at the gate and in front of the castle
Hey we didn't wear matching Lilys for nothing!
Our print is called "Shell Me About It"
On this day, we enjoyed The Haunted Mansion, It's a Small World (well My parents, Rob and Eva did again. I had to take Diana to the bathroom during this), Ariel's Grotto, The Teacups, the Train Ride tour, The Tea Cups and Dumbo. While over at the Big Circus area, my mom didn't feel well at all so we took a break. The guys got butter beers and we snacked on some fruits and veggies while staying cool in a little grab and go near Ariel's Grotto.
My parents headed back to their hotel to take a nap
Once they left, Diana got to meet Merida from Brave and then we headed over to Pirates of the Carribean
We got a fast pass and had an hour to kill so I got to splurge and grab a Dole Whip- it was so good!
After we enjoyed the ride, we headed over to the Polynesian to change for dinner and enjoy a cocktail of course!
We met up with my parents and all headed over to the California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Hotel- it was amazing!
After dinner, we took a couple more pics at the Polynesian before saying Goodnight to my parents
On Thursday, our last fun day, we enjoyed some pool time in the morning and then headed to Epcot with My Parents, Beth Ann, Ella and Mary Ellen
The girls enjoyed a few rides and then the adults enjoyed walking around the countries a bit more!
Eva LOVED Mexican Donald :)
While in Italy, we stopped for a great pizza lunch - Pidge enjoyed it the most!
That the night, the group met up for dinner at Nine Dragons in China and my parents headed back to their hotel
and then a little shopping (and drinking) until the park closed at 9!
and even though I was wiped when we traveled home yesterday, the last night was spent poolside with wine and friends- couldn't ask for anything more!
What a wonderful trip- a trip of a lifetime!
