Hi Friends and Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Long Weekend! I am here, as always, with my partner in crime Sarah and we are chatting about our weekends. In my case, I am chatting about my Thanksgiving Week/Long Holiday Weekend...there is so much to share...so let's get to it....
Wednesday
It was time for our Annual Breakfast with the Fournier Girls...we hit up Mary Ann's in town...always a fave :)
Our Fearless DJ Greg
It was a late night but Rob and I kicked butt cleaning up and setting up for the next day!
Thursday
Happy Thanksgiving! We were up early to get the last few things ready for the day...I made the green beans and an app and got (or Rob did) Tom The Turkey in the oven! I set up breakfast and all the kids and Papa were in tow!
Then we headed to the Turkey Trot! Even though it was a little chilly, the weather really cooperated :)
We earned our calories for sure!
Back at the house, we made some mimosas and picked a bit...I put out some apps
Then it was time for the big kids to head to Lisa's and our parents and my brother joined us for the Big Kahuna!
Waiting for us to drop something...anything...
It was a great day! As I told everyone, one of my favorite Thanksgivings ever :)
That night, Rob, Papa and Eva took off for Lake Placid ( a 4 hour drive) for a hockey tournament weekend!
Diana, Remi and I snuggled in bed and watched The Morning Show...a break from our family tradition of Christmas Vacation. Diana headed out later with friends but I was already snoozing ;)
Friday
We were up at 5! We headed to Starbucks and met up with the Fournier girls for our annual Black Friday Tradition! We chatted for a bit and then headed out to shop- first stop Old Navy of course! After that, we headed to the mall for a few more stops- we did well and maximized on the sales for sure.
Meanwhile, in Lake Placid, someone was loving the goody bags with lots of swag!
That night, Diana headed to a Friendsgiving- some of her college friends were home so she had a blast catching up.
I headed to Happy Hour with Cass and her brother Basil and we had a great time- Basil treated us and regaled us with his awesome stories. Grateful for my Cass and that I could unload some stress on her that night...we have been friends for so long that we are like family and it was a night like this that I am reminded how truly lucky I am
Saturday
We took the chance to sleep in and then headed to Nutrition Corner...
When we got home I caught up on some reading and then headed to Suzanne's so we could watch our kids in a Relay...she could live stream it at home
Our kids came in 2nd out of all of the teams-we were so proud- they were thrilled! Robby B sent us a few pics :)
and he also sent me this quick shot of the Olympic Village-so beautiful!
That night, I did some more reading and then watched a Selena documentary- so so good- mostly family footage that had never been seen- she was always one of my faves.
I got takeout from Karv- a great Greek place in town- LOVED this bowl- it had Grilled Greek Chicken, Herbed Rice, Roasted Corn, Pickled Onions, Avocados and a yummy sauce- I am obsessed and I am going to try to recreate this on my own!
Diana worked then headed to a friends. I ended up picking her up late as she wasn't feeling well.
Sunday
After a fitful night of sleep, I still got up early and headed to mass then did the grocery shopping.
I caught up on blogging and did some more reading too.
Are you fans of Bethenny Frankel? Well I always have been...my latest obsession is following her on Tiktok...she makes what she calls "Supermodel Snacks." They are such quick mini-meals to put together and all so so healthy and look delish. Well after grocery shopping and picking up some key ingredients, I was ready to make my first one and friends? It was SO DELISH
It was multi-grain Wasa crackers with cottage cheese, Everything But The Bagel Seasoning, Truffle Hot Sauce and Pickled Onions...TO DIE FOR...trust me...give it a try!
Later on, Diana and I went on a drive then back at home relaxed and did some reading.
Last night, we finished our long weekend by attending the Nutcracker at our old studio....it was so bittersweet...fabulous production...very emotional for both of us...we haven't been back since Diana was Clara...so glad we went and supported her friends :)
It was a fabulous little break...what were you all up to?

Wow, Holly, I am truly in awe at everything you did! The hostessing- so many events. You make it all seem pretty stress-free and easy. All of your gatherings look like so much fun- great pics of everyone from friends to family. You are definitely blessed. I am glad you got to sleep in one of the days, lol! Congrats to Eva´s team doing well in Lake Placid- what a great pic of winter village. Have a great Monday!
Well first things first, I'm definitely going to try the Wasa cracker snack. Sounds so good. You definitely had a busy house and house-ful! I'm glad you enjoyed time with all your people and managed some time out with a friend too. You're a wonderful hostess and I'm sure everyone appreciates your hospitality. I wanted to see The Nutcracker this year, but we waited too long to get tickets and honestly the calendar is jam packed so it was going to be tight trying to work out a date. Hopefully next year! Have a great week and enjoy all the holiday-ing this month!
What a fabulous break! Mine was just as good and felt so long, which was surprising. I'm ready to work today and see my people! That's always a testament to how much I love my job; I'm always ready to go back. I am sure seeing The Nutcracker was emotional for both you and Diana; I can't believe y'all haven't been back since she was Clara! That seems like both yesterday and ages ago. I love that we've watched our families grow up over the years! Have an excellent Monday, my friend. xoxo
Thank you friend! I wish I slept in more but my body is so programmed so I guess not- ha! :)
Thank you Joyce- lmk if you try it! More snacks will be posted too!
So glad you love your job- they are so lucky to have you Jen!
You never cease to amaze me, Holly! So much to be thankful for and so much love.. all weekend long!! Bittersweet is the right word for your return to The Nutcracker. Our two daughters danced with the St. Paul City Ballet and Metropolitan Ballet here in Minneapolis every year and it always made for a hectic but special time of year! I remember when Diana was Clara and what fun that was for you all - that was when I first started following you! Happy December
I love seeing the full kitchen, fun garage and your super cute gold top! I did a turkey trot for the first time this year and it was fun. It may be a new tradition! Have a good Monday!
Happy Thanksgiving Holly! I made your potato stuffing and applesauce cookies for Thanksgiving and they were both so so DELICIOUS!!! My mouth is watering thinking about them . They now have a place on our holiday table moving forward . Everyone LOVED them. Thanks for sharing and walking me through the details .
Aww thank you so much Laura! I am glad you get it- so fun being in it and a tough tradition to let go of for sure :) XO
Loved seeing your pics at the Turkey Trot-such a fun way to start that day!
So so glad! :)
