Wednesday Hodgepodge

Hi Friends and Happy Hodgepodge!  I am joining Joyce for her fun linkup with such thoughtful questions...here we go!

1. What's worth standing in line for?

A good concert- wine- pizza- clothes

2. Tell us about a favorite food related memory.

The first time Rob came to our family's Christmas Eve celebration/Feast of the Seven Fishes at my aunt's house...he knew everything I told him but the magnitude of the food and gathering he could not understand until he experienced it first hand- I remember how overwhelmed he was and how much he ate :)

3. What are some things you find particularly peaceful or calming?

The ocean- The Beach- Driving around with the top down and listening to favorite music- Reading

4. Is there something you do now that gets you just as excited as it did when you were a child?

Shows (Theater), High School Football Games, The Beach

5. To what degree are you in touch with friends from grade school? high school? college if you attended college?

Grade School- a few friends only via Facebook- High School- some friends and classmates via Facebook and IG and my best friend in touch regularly- college- again through FB and IG but in touch with a best friend from college in real life too

6. Insert your own random thought here.

I am sensing a back-to-school theme and rightfully so...school starts for us one week from today-eek!  This year is extra emotional for me...I will have a Senior and a 6th grader...soaking it up....soaking it up...thanks for following along and all of your encouragement over the years :)

  3. I love the food memory! It's the quality, but also the quantity at these big Italian feasts that is so impressive. I hope you have the most wonderful year. It helps to have a younger one still at home when that first one heads to college. I will say though, I loved my girls college years and love their friends from those years still. Have a great day!

  4. So funny but I won't stand in line for any of those (one or two people sure but a long line? I'd put those clothes back and convince myself I don't really need them!). But we do have all the same calming things on our lists! I mean I know I didn't write a post but those answers would have been on my list. We have lots of shows and ticketed events coming up and I am so excited about them. I definitely get excited about things like that still.

  7. I work at a college, and my heart always goes out to the parents of seniors who either call or visit our campus. It’s such a bittersweet year.
