Hi Friends and Happy Monday! I am here with my blogging partner Sarah and we are chatting about our weekends! Hope you will join us!
Here is what we were up to...
Friday Night
Rob and I celebrated our anniversary with a wonderful dinner at Copper Door (thank you Papa!)
Saturday
We were so excited for a weekend around home. We continued working in the garage and what we are calling "Project Homecoming." Diana is going to host homecoming photos this year in October so we are purging and cleaning and eventually painting to make sure the garage is in great shape. Hopefully the kids can get pics outside too but that will be weather dependent!
Rob did most of the garage work and I started setting up and decorating for the Cheer Kick Off Dinner we are hosting next weekend.
Later on, I made dinner for the fam. We all ate at different times. Diana headed to work. Rob headed to a gig and Pidge and I watched our various shows and I read my book and crashed early.
Sunday
We enjoyed a nice slow morning! Diana's bestie Harry stayed over so I made them and Eva breakfast. Harry heads back to his ballet academy next week so they needed to catch up desperately :)
I started on Diana's Senior Year Cheer Collage for the Senior Game in October- yes early but want to have plenty of time to make it just right. Rob helped me cut some pics.
Then we picked up Cora and took the girls to Canobie for the day!
Feeling better today-ready to rally- getting ready for a home inspection this evening- so so excited for my buyers :)
What were you all up to?
What a fun weekend...with the exception of you getting sick. That sounds terrible, but I'm glad you were feeling better after all the rest. Take care of yourself, my friend, and have a wonderful Monday!
ReplyDeleteThank you my friend :)
DeleteI feel like the "senior home clean up" is real as parents get ready to host, at a minimum, a grad party at the end of the year. It's kinda nice to have events that force or encourage you to do some organizing, throwing out, etc. I'm sure the garage will turn out great! I'm sorry you didn't feel well but glad you were able to get some rest and TLC and the girls still had fun. Love the date night pictures- you guys look so good! Have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteVery true- half the time the events prompt us to purge and clean for sure Maria!
DeleteHappy Anniversary to you and Rob!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Maddie :)
DeleteHappy anniversary! That looks delish! I am so sorry the heat go to you and I know how that is possible.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy!
DeleteI relate too well to your amusement park experience. Ugh! Glad the girls had fun though. Hosting is a great incentive to get things done around the house that you have intended to do, but just haven't gotten around to actually doing. Happy Anniversary! Your roses are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt is so true what they say- rides don't offer bother kids but once we get older, geesh! No joke :)
DeleteA productive weekend, I must say. Happy Anniversary and lots of good wishes! :) Hugs.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
DeleteHappy anniversary! I'm so sorry to hear the ride made you feel sick though. Other than that it sounded like a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanne-it was- really can't complain :)
DeleteOh goodness! What a weekend! Lots of fun (Happy Anniversary!) with a bit of nausea sprinkled in... I'm so glad the troops quickly came to your rescue! I'm also so impressed by how you plan ahead! Way to go, Mama! Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteThank you Laura - I find that planning ahead makes me less stressed
DeleteOrganization like that feels so good, even though it is hard work for sure. Looks like a fun day yesterday! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteYes it feels freeing! It was-thanks Marilyn!
DeleteIt sounds like such a busy weekend. Sorry to hear that you were not feeling well from the ride. Happy Anniversary to you and hubby. I hope you have a nice week Holly.
ReplyDeleteThank you Julie :)
DeleteHappy anniversary to you and Rob, the dinner out does look good!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the garage. How exciting for Diana to be hosting the homecoming photos!
So sorry you were unwell on Sunday, it looks like the girls had a great time though.
Thanks Kim- they had a blast and that's all that matters!
DeleteHappy Anniversary! I'm so sorry you got sick, I remember the first time I rode a scrambler and it made me sick! It wasn't the heat for me, I feel like my body has just changed and I don't like that stuff anymore like I used too lol! I'm glad you guys have time to purge the garage before you have that event! We usually host a large family Thanksgiving in November so our garages get makeovers then as well! I so enjoyed visiting with you today! I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThis ride is exactly a scrambler! It is just inside- in the dark with flashing lights and music- ahhhh- well Thanksgiving with a clean garage may open up another entertaining space- thanks for putting that idea in my head! :)
DeleteAhh, happy anniversary you two! I hope you had a wonderful time celebrating. I’m sorry the ride made you sick. Motion sickness is no joke, especially with the added heat.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! :)
DeleteHappy Anniversary! That meal looks delicious!! Oh no!! I'm sorry you got sick! I have realized I am no longer able to do rides like these, especially if it's hot. It will just be bad news the rest of the day! I'm so glad you're feeling better!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is so hard to admit that we can't do what we used to- but thank you Ali! :)
