Hello Monday (January 20, 2025)

I apologize in advance for the lack of pictures this weekend but it was a pretty mendane, average, winter weekend in these parts.   Nothing exciting so here we go....

Friday Night

A nice walk for Mama and Pidge on the rail trail and then Daddy and Pidge went to batting practice and we all crashed early after enjoying some fro yo

Saturday

It was hockey first thing and then play rehearsal for Eva.  It was to the gym for Mama then meal planning, grocery shopping and then come cooking.  Pretty lazy day...watched The Notebook...Diana went over to a friends...and we crashed early

Sunday

I woke up to this...how about you?

The one thing...outside of inspirational videos I watch, are videos of prom dresses...even though we already got Diana's, I love seeing the different styles.  Not worried though.  Sounds like it is being worked on and restored shortly :)

(UPDATE: it was already restored...temporarily anyway..ha!)

Anyway, the day meant work for Diana, mass and then organizing for the week, a walk at the rail trail and a bath for Remi after because it was muddy...warm chicken tortellini soup, a date for Diana and a hockey game last night wrapped up the weekend for us.

What were you all up to?

  1. It sounds like a great weekend. A nice walk and froyo are some of my favorites. The Saturday sounds great too....all the little, important things. Happy Monday!

  2. That trail is so nice! Cool to see it in all types of weather. My sister likes TikTok for recipes. I kind of have a problem with anything being banned, you know? Where does it end? So crazy, right?
Sometimes a normal weekend is just what you need!

  3. Low key weekends are sometimes just what the proverbial doctor ordered... Glad you got out and moved- I did, too, in the sunshine on Friday which was great (before our cold really set in!). Alyssa had heard about the upcoming TT ban- she was grateful it was only out for a short while. I hope Diana's date went well :). Have a wonderful Monday!

  4. Even though it was chill, it seems like a wonderful weekend! That soup looks delicious. My boys uninstalled the app and can't get it back for now! I don't know why they did that...it was my oldest and youngest. 🤣

  5. Low key weekends, especially in January, feel good and necessary. I haven't watched The Notebook in a long time so might have to pull that one up again. Have a nice week!

  6. It looks like you had a nice weekend. We had 5 inches of snow yesterday and it will be very cold for the week. I hope you stay warm and cozy.

  7. Your soup looks so yummy! We had a birthday party for Alec and then went to check out the Van Gogh exhibit in Worcester.

  8. Your soup looks so yummy! Question about your walks. Do you walk in sneakers or boots when the rail trail is covered in snow? My feet are such a mess that I am not sure I could do it in boots. I love that you have such a great paved trail and you are smart to use it so often! Have a great week!

    1. I walk in sneakers Sara! When it is snow covered, there is actually traction. This weekend, there was some ice and it was a bit tricky but I couldn't walk in boots either!
