Monthly Musings: All About Spring Edition- 2023

Hi Friends!  Patty and I are so glad you stopped by!  We hope you will join us for our fun linkup- today we are talking all things SPRING..wooohooo!

We are answering these questions...

C'mon...it'll be fun...here we go...

1. Favorite Spring Fashion Pieces

Reef Flip Flops- a Pretty Maxi- Black Sandals- A Little Lilly- these are just a few faves

2. Favorite Spring Scent

It has always been Estee Lauder Pleasures

and thanks to my bestie Laurel, I am trying two new ones this Spring

Gucci Bloom

and Alien by Mugler

3. Go To Spring Meals

Our spring meals tend to be quicker and easier with lots of cooking on the grill- grilled chicken or steak or sometimes even fish with veggies like corn on the cob and salad and more fruit!

4. Share A Spring Dessert Recipe

Hmmm...well I guess this one you could make anytime of the year but they were the first thing to come to my mind because they are incredible...seriously...let me know if you make these

These are The Pioneer Woman's "Knock You Naked Brownies"

The caramel is a game changer!  You can find the recipe HERE

5. Share A Few Spring Traditions

Well we brought back a fun one this year and that was an Easter Egg Hunt- this one was the most fun because we had fun for the parents too :)

Planting flowers, herbs and veggies is another one but this year I am keeping it more simple.  I am only going to buy a couple of herb plants- basil and mint AND the rest of my planting will be flowers and LOTS of them :)

6. Best Spring Cleaning Hack?

Really don't have much here outside of my all-year tip which is Lysol Wipes are the bomb!  Spring Bonus?  Getting to open the windows to get fresh air in the house!

7. Will you plant a garden this year?

See Answer to #5

8. Spring Rain...Love or Hate?

I know we need it especially if we want pretty flowers and green lawns but I hate when it puts a damper on outdoor plans!

9. Favorite Spring Flower?

It has to be the lilac...brings back so many great memories of my childhood...truly the smell of spring for me...can't wait for ours to bloom in May! :)

10. Any Spring Travel This Year?

We leave for NYC late this afternoon!  Can't wait!

If you have been reading for awhile then you know I am heading to Nantucket for a weekend in May with my besties too and I can't wait!

Can't wait to see these tulips in all their glory!

That was FUN!  Can't wait to read all about your spring traditions!

Here is our schedule and topics for 2023 in case you want to follow along and link up with us during future months!

  1. I make a version of the PW caramel brownies- they are insanely good and rich. I would love to smell the Gucci Bloom fragrance. I love the pretty bottle and the name of the fragrance. That's as good as any reason to try it, right? Have a great time in NYC- looking forward to reading about it. Safe travels, friend!

  2. I can't believe I forgot about lilacs and my "spring tradition" of cutting a few blooms off our neighbours' lilac bush! Take some extra pictures of the tulips in NYC for me :)
