Hello Monday (October 10, 2022)

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!  It is a holiday but no better way to start our week than with Hello Monday!  Sarah and I are so glad you stopped by.  If you blogged today or even tomorrow, given the holiday, grab our graphic above and link back up with us below...c'mom it'll be fun ;)

Here is what our little weekend looked like....

Friday Night

Out little family of four went to one of our favorite events of the year, The Milford Pumpkin Festival.  We have always gone on the Saturday night but since Alexis's Bday Party (my goddaughter) was Saturday, we pivoted.  Our parents have been coming with us in recent years but my mom is still recovering from her knee surgery and can't be walking for miles...quite frankly, I was not sure I would feel up to it but I did and powered through and so glad we could go!

Here are my obligatory foliage pics that I always snap before we get on the shuttle to downtown Milford (these trees are at Milford Middle School)

Then once we get downtown, our first stop is always The Pasta Loft for dinner and more specifically their amazing pizza SO Friday Night Pizza Night looked even better this weekend!

and then we head out to see all the things- games- snacks- pumpkins- all the fun!

and for the first time ever, we got to catch the opening ceremonies!  So cute :)

It was a great night!

 Saturday

My heart was happy because we were back to my favorite routine...I was feeling good so we headed out for our Date Walk!  The foliage really started to pop here this weekend so it was extra pretty!

and then it was time for my time with Diana- instead of Starbucks she wanted to go to Dunks this week for their Frozen Coffee- yes I think she was crazy because it was chilly!  Still cherish every moment of this time

I snapped a pic of her cold craziness BUT it disappeared off my phone- ha!

After I dropped her at dance, it was time for Eva's first hockey game!   She was fired up because she would be playing her old team- she wanted to beat them so bad!

Unfortunately, the other team scored in the last three minutes of the game so they lost 3-2- it was an exciting game though!

The rest of the day for me was mostly resting until I prepped some food for Alexis's Sweet 16th.  Well...there may have been some extra sweet snuggles with you know who too ;)

Alexis is Cass's daughter and my Goddaughter and Cass hosted a lovely dinner party with family and friends to commemorate this very special day!

I made one of my faves- the Autumn Cheese Ball- you can find my recipe HERE

and I also made everyone's fave my Rolo Ritz Bars and I added some Halloween sprinkles to them to be festive BUT forgot to snap a pic...sigh

Few shots from the party...

and a selfie of our photographer of course ;)

Sunday

We slept in a bit and then relaxed...when Rob ran out to grab breakfast, I put on a Hallmark Christmas movie...and when the big guy got back he didn't even yell at me- ha!

Then he headed to mass while the girls went to meet the Fournier Girls for our Annual Tradition of Apple Picking and Lunch- it was such a beautiful fall day!

and then the girls had Nutcracker Rehearsal so I rested for the afternoon until I picked up Eva, Magen and her sister Emily up...we gave Magen one of her gifts- BFF necklaces for her and Eva- love these girls!

Then it was time to head over to the Callahan's.  It was Magen's Birthday and she invited some besties over for her celebration and sleepover.  The parents stayed for dinner too- so grateful we met these great peeps!  Only snapped a couple pics of the kids- they were doing hair chalk and then eating up- so cute :)

That's a wrap!  What were YOU up to? Hope you have a great week!

  1. What a great weekend! Love all the fall and celebratory things about it. Milford being established in the 1700's is so cool. I'm pretty sure all towns in Ohio are circa 1800's. Our foliage is starting to be pretty just as yours is. Glad you had energy for so many activities- it sounds like you're getting back to normal. Have a great Monday!
