Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday! Hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend! Despite our chilly and rainy weather, we enjoyed a great one. Hope you will join Sarah and me as we chat about our weekends....here we go...
Friday Night
It was all about softball. After dinner, we headed to the ball field in Londonderry. Papa, Kayla, Marshall, Sylvie and Ally joined us to cheer on Pidge. It was the first tournament of the season for her town team and it was a great game. They won and we had a blast!
Saturday
We were up early and headed to Lowell for Pidge's GSE tournament. Diana joined me and my parents along with Papa joined us as well. We love watching this team- they are on fire! It was great to all enjoy the game together.
April got some more dynamite shots! She takes the best pics
A moment for the flags nearby
After the first game and win, I headed to pick up Cass's bday cake and brought Diana home. Then I headed back to Lowell for the next game. Another win!
We went with "THE cake"...our favorite from Sugar N Spice Bakery in town. It is half chocolate- half vanilla- buttercream, strawberry preserves (we went with the raspberry in the past but all agreed the strawberry was even better) and a chocolate ganache dip. Decadent doesn't begin to describe it!
After that game, I headed home to cook for Cass's bday dinner.
After the day of games, Dad and Pidge finally got home right before Cass and Steve arrived. I did it all except I needed Rob to grill the steak tips. He does the grilling best.
We had a great night with Cass and Steve- just what the doctor ordered!

Sunday
We were up bright and early. I got some food packed for Diana to take up to her friend's lake house. Then I met the fam in Lowell for the next game of the weekend. It was another win!
I headed home for a bit. The next game was in the pouring rain and they lost. So they were done for the weekend.
I spent the afternoon catching up on some prayer work, blogging, getting organized and taking a fat nap!
Diana was up at her friend's lake house...
Eva chilled with Papa and Rob and I headed out to dinner at Beck's with Lea and Mike. It was great and another night of laughs.
Monday
Memorial Day when we remember all those who sacrificed for our freedom.
I woke up to a sweet text from one of my Senior Mama friends- our girls together in Kindergarten! Ahh!
So I sent her this one back- them now- at Senior Prom- don't blink
It was Cass's actual Bday- Cass- My Person :)
I posted this collage for her
I need to mention that most of the weekend was cold and rainy. We had snuck in a pleasant night on Friday for softball and most of Saturday was ok. Then Sunday it was cold and down poured and the rain continued through half of Monday. So....our Monday morning was Grad Party central! We started setting up more decor and tables and banners, etc. We were so productive!
This is our fireplace for at least the next month :)
Then the sun came out so when Diana got home, the girls and I drove around with the top down, stopped at Chic Fil A and then headed to the Dollar Store so we could get a few things.
Later on, we wrapped up our weekend by heading out for ice cream together- it was a relaxing and fun weekend. What were you all up to?

Sounds like a fun weekend in spite of the weather. We were couch potatoes lol. It doesn't happen often here and we're definitely caught up on our tv viewing. That cake looks fabulous! Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteRainy weather is perfect for that Joyce. I did my fair share of resting in between the fun this weekend too!
DeleteIt sounds like a really good weekend! The softball pictures are great and how wonderful that the girls did so well. The birthday celebration looks like a blast. You know how to show the love :). Great throwback pic and then the one of the girls today. Time does not stop- how wonderful that the click of a button freezes it for a moment for our hearts and eyes to enjoy :).
ReplyDeleteYes Maria! So grateful for pics and videos to have forever :)
