Hi Friends! Sarah and I are so glad you stopped by! We hope you will join us and linkup below...we are chatting about our weekends so let's get to it!
Friday Night
Cass and I took Laurel out. She lost her dad last week and she needed a night to decompress and share memories- these are my people and I am so grateful for them..they are the sisters I never had
The Fit (still in winter mode here unfortunately)
Saturday
We were up bright and early. I headed to yoga first thing then we dropped my car off at the shop to get something fixed (ugh- thought it would be a small job and it wasn't- BOO). Rob did the groceries and I showered and chilled (read and watched tv) until we headed out late afternoon.
Diana headed to work and we brought Eva and her friend to check out a nearby restaurant for Rob to gig at this spring and summer. It is the sister restaurant to where Diana works and it did not disappoint. We can't wait for live music outdoors!
After a very casual dinner, we headed to the WHS playoff hockey game and it was amazing- they crushed Pinkerton and they are headed to the quarter finals this week up in Concord!
They also did a fundraiser for a family in town. Their daughter is on the team and her dad is very sick. It was quite emotional but so glad we got to participate.
We crashed when we got home and Diana headed out with friends.
Sunday
Daylight savings and we still managed to sleep in a bit which felt luxurious. We then headed to mass, came home for a quick bite then hit the road for the day. We had to drive up to Maine for Eva's softball game. They crushed the other team- it was an awesome game and I am so excited to see them play outside this spring!
Then she missed the second game because we had to jet to the middle school hockey game down in Hooksett NH and closer to home. That was an ugly game- her team got crushed.
When we got home, I did this post. Rob did some laundry then we started "Brothers and Sisters"- an old series that my bestie Cass recommended. Then we crashed early to get ready for the week.
What were you all up to?

I'm sorry for your friend's loss. You are a good friend to be there for her. Congrats to Eva's team for winning the softball game. Outdoor softball will be here before you know it... I should have gone to bed early. This time change is messing me up already. Have a great Monday, friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you friend XO
DeleteThe kid in our neighbourhood who is so sick has received so much support from the hockey community. Those sports communities really are so great. I'm glad Eva's team was able to support their teammate. And I'm sorry about the car issues :(
ReplyDeleteThank you friend XO
DeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your friend's dad. I'm glad she has you! I needed that in my own friends when my dad died. It sounds like you had a great and fun weekend doing all the things that you love to do with your people! I hope your week gets off to a great start soon, my friend. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThank you friend XO
DeleteYou are good friends! She will need you in the months to come. It's so hard sometimes to think of all the sadness around us. I'm sorry about the sick father, too, but glad you could bless them.
ReplyDeleteWe had such a beautiful day yesterday. I don't take those for granted!
Hope you have a good week!
Thank you Amy- glad we have a village to support each other
DeleteI'm convinced there's no such thing as a small car repair anymore. The simplest thing requires removing the dash board or some such nonsense. You look great Holly. We hit 80 degrees here on Friday and it was so nice to be sitting outside. Have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteSo true Joyce :/
DeleteThat was so thoughtful and nice for y'all to get your friend out of the house for a change of scenery and be with friends. I love that picture of you! Hope your Monday goes well.
ReplyDeleteIt's the least we can do- thanks Marilyn :)
DeleteOh no! I am so sorry about Laurel's dad. Sending love and hugs.
ReplyDeleteThat restaurant looks great and how wonderful to attend the fundraiser! Good job to Eva and the softball team.
Thank you Kim :)
DeleteIt sounds like y'all had a great weekend. I have a super dumb question . . . I live in Alabama and our softball/baseball games are all outside. It looks like your daughter's game is inside on a tennis court? Is that correct? This is crazy, but I never thought about playing softball indoors! I'm so sorry for your friend's loss - I'm glad she has such good friends to stand beside her!!
ReplyDeleteIt's actually an indoor sports complex on a college campus and they had several softball games happening over the weekend there! Can't wait for her to be able to play outside again- soon soon :)
DeleteI'm so sorry about your friend's dad. How sweet of you guys to take her out! My mom and grandmother used to watch "Brothers and Sisters". I remember wanting to be grown up so I could watch it too haha!
ReplyDeleteThank you Maddie :) We like the show already so I see us binging it!
DeleteCondolences to Laurel on the loss of her father. Seeing Eva playing softball makes me happy as I know spring and summer are coming close!
ReplyDeleteThank you Pat!
DeleteBrothers and Sisters was a great show, forgot about that one!
ReplyDeleteWe are totally getting sucked in- so binge worthy!
DeleteOh I loved Brothers and Sisters! It sounds like a nice weekend; we were so thrilled to sleep in besides having to turn the clocks this weekend too.
ReplyDeleteFeels so good! We are getting sucked into this show- just love it!
DeleteIndoor softball - I haven't heard of that! I know you are ready for spring temperatures!
ReplyDeleteDesperate times call for desperate measures up here in the frozen tundra ;)
DeleteWhat a whirlwind weekend you had! I'm so sorry for your friend's loss. What a blessing that she has a friend like you to support her during this time. I'm also sorry that a small car fix turned into something bigger... never fun!! Here's to all the softball games to come!
ReplyDeleteThank you Laura- yes and can't wait to get outside to watch them play!
