Hi Friends and Happy Monday! I am here with Sarah and we are chatting about our weekends. Hope you will join us! Here is what we were up to...
It was time for Cass and My Annual Risotto Night...I was actually a bad photographer...didn't capture a picture of the cooking OR us...sigh...anyway...snapped a pic of the leftovers ;)
and also snapped a pic of the festive dessert I made. This is "Ghosts in the Graveyard." I try to make it every year for the kids. Thought I was being funny by putting the names of Diana's exes on the tomb stones but she kinda flipped out and made me change them before Tommy came over...ha!
It is funny, though, when Rob mentioned this dessert to Kayla, she talked about it being one of her faves and loved when I put her exes on the tombstones...well Diana will mature...eventually right?! Ha!
Remi was very curious...and of course, supervising my work in the kitchen
That night, the house was like Grand Central Station- Cass was with me...Tommy came over to hang with Diana and Eva had her little friend Cora over...Robby B hung out in his office with Remi...it really was a fun night :)
Well we haven't been on a date walk in awhile...it is a combo of crazy activities with the kids AND being so tired that we need to sleep in until 7 so we are determined to get back to it.
Anyway, Rob took off for softball with Eva. She was asked to play with the 12U team this weekend and she was able to catch for them...she was very excited!
I laid in bed and watched my very first Hallmark of the season. I LOVED this one..."Christmas By Starlight." I see myself watching this one again and will recommend it to everyone!
Then Diana and I got ready for the day and headed to Playa Bowls for breakfast. What a fun and healthy treat...and bonus having some QT with my girl
Meanwhile...at home plate
Then it was time to head to the last home game of the season. It was also Senior Day where the senior football players and cheerleaders were honored. They marched onto the field with their parents and a teacher of their choice- so special! The parents also made each student a collage poster- love that tradition!
Laurel and Tom met me there and we enjoyed the game together
It was an ugly game. At first the Jaguars were holding their own and ahead by two touchdowns but it all fell quickly. Our starting QB quit this week after the coaches started another QB. So the #2 was in and he got severely injured- it was awful. Enter #3 who was thrown to the wolves. It all went downhill from there and we lost 28-14
At home, Baby Sylvie arrived and Papa Rob did a great job supervising...especially as Eva was stealing her oxygen...ha! She had a fun night with us
Rob, Eva and Papa were off to hockey first thing. I drove Diana and her friend up to Concord to watch Tommy's baseball game..I admired some foliage in the parking lot
Then I got creative in the kitchen with some leftovers and whipped up a turkey pot pie with puff pastry for the fam
Then I met up with Tina and Misty for a cocktail..it had been too long!
Robby B did the grocery shopping and then we chilled last night. It was an awesome fall weekend..what were you all up to?
What a wonderful weekend! I think that adding the exes on the tombstones is hilarious! Baby Sylvie is just the cutest.
