Hello Monday (October 14, 2024)

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!  I am here with Sarah and we are chatting about our weekends!  Hope you will join us!

Here is what our little fall weekend looked like here in NH!

Friday Night

It was time for more Friday Night Lights.  Cass drove to our house and I drove us to Merrimack.  We stopped for a bite at Thirsty Moose Tap House and then headed to the game.

My parents and Rob and Pidge met us there.  It was an exciting one- very close but with a new starting QB and new lineup, things looked much better than last week!  Windham won 28-27.  We had fun cheering for our favorite cheerleader too of course ;)

When we got home and crashed, there was a guilt trip waiting for us and we did end up letting him sleep in the bed with us on this night ;)  Well wouldn't you?  Ha!!

Saturday

We were up bright and early and I brought Diana to PSATs- how did we get here?!  She takes SATs in March.  We chilled at home for a bit and then when I picked her up I brought her to work.  On the way home, I snapped some shots of the beginning of the foliage.   It is a bit delayed this year due to our hot and sunny summer...yessss.

Anyway, we headed to Eva's hockey game- it was ugly.

She did score MVP of the game though.  She skated HARD :)

Then I picked up Diana, Rob headed to a gig and we got ready for one of our favorite nights all year- the Milford Pumpkin Festival.

I picked up Aiden and then my parents met us and I drove us all up to Milford.  Rob and his Dad met us later after his gig.

We parked at the Middle School and road the shuttle downtown and then headed to the Brick House Pub for our annual pizza dinner.  It was the most crowded we have ever seen the festival- so fun to see.

I also feel like we did it all- dinner, games, snacks and the haunted trail for the littles.  So much fun!

The scariest thing that we saw was on our way back to the shuttle; there was a guy dressed up as Michael Meyers, in the full mechanic suit, just walking around slowly in the crowd- we got the chills- my girls were so scared- Aiden laughed but we had to snap a pic and send it to my brother because he is his favorite- ha!

After catching the shuttle, we headed home for dessert.   Mimi made her famous pumpkin chocolate chip cake so we indulged and chatted about this being the best festival yet!

Sunday

Rob and I headed out early to grocery shop together- we were determined to find the best prices and sale items yet- such a challenge in this market and so depressing.  Who is with me?

After that, I did some cooking and we sang to Remi (it was his bday- he turned 4!  We are celebrating tonight though when we are all home)

Rob headed out to do some yard work and I brought Diana to Target so she could find items to put together a BOO Basket for Tommy- so cute.

Later on, we headed to Eva's 2nd hockey game of the weekend.  It was AWESOME...they dominated on the ice and looked so much better than they did on Saturday.

Last night, I headed over to Suzanne's with some of the hockey moms and we had a blast.  I made my caramel apple martinis and she had snacks for us. We laughed so hard especially at the twins doing Milli Vanilli- brought back such fun memories from high school!

It is time to start another week!  Hope it is a great one for all of you! :)

  1. The fall festival looks like fun! We're still in the 80's here so the foilage is not turning too much yet. We want to drive up into the mountains, but the hurricane has made some roads still a challenge so we'll likely wait another week. Happy birthday to your pup!

  2. Enjoyed looking at your pictures and hearing about your weekend! Our foliage is delayed this year, too, but some of your leaves are starting to look good :). That festival looks like a blast- how fun to have the whole family there. Congrats on the good games, too, from football to hockey. And of course congrats to the MVP!!

  3. Such a fun-filled Fall weekend! I love this time of year! The festival looks awesome! I do love a Caramel apple, however, why are they so hard to eat? I am not graceful at all trying to eat it. Haha! Our foliage hasn't started in GA yet, but I love the snippets of yours starting to peep in.

  4. I enjoy seeing both of your daughter's activities --they are both very dedicated to doing their best and having a good time--very much like you! are, Holly! The fall foliage there is just as I remembered living back east---so beautiful!

  5. Great photos! The fall leaves are gorgeous! I just wish the temps would get a little cooler, they are like low 70's which is nice but not in October!
