Hello Monday and Hello The Start of Football Season!

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!  Sarah and I are so glad you stopped by!  If you blogged about your weekend, we hope you will join us!  Grab our graphic above and link back up with us below...

Here is what our little Fall Weekend looked like....

It started off kind of rough...Diana got a text two hours before she was supposed to head into work and the owner of the restaurant let her know they are shutting down.  They couldn't afford to keep it open anymore-inflation has been killing them- just so very sad- we weren't super surprised but we are sad for our community and all of Zach's employees.

It's a good thing Mama is a Recruiter....I worked on one of our relationships in town and helped her to get a new job already.  Someone we love and who will be flexible with her and her intense schedule and she is starting in a few weeks- yeah- more details to come soon!

Anyway...she was home for the night...Robby B had a gig...I had an open house and Kayla picked up Eva from softball practice.

Selfie at the open house...not much traffic...I was bored and was trying to make Rob laugh...ha!  Anyway...exhaustion is the word I think of when I look at this...sigh

Meanwhile at softball, Sylvie was a big hit and I guess the girls all crowded around when practice was getting out

We all met up back at home- I ordered Japanese takeout and Sylvie was wild...she entertained us girls...

It was a great way to end the week

We were up bright and early.  Diana and I headed to Revitalize for our caffeine of course...and tried the Blackout Tea for the first time- so excited - 15% of proceeds this month are going to Windham Blackout so we did a little publicity of course...

Then I headed to the chiropractor...just started a regiment to fix my back and arm from the endless hours I sit at my computer each day and then it was time to get ready for the big game.  First football game of the season and first time seeing Diana cheer at Windham High!

After a few pics, she got picked up by Addy and Rob headed out with Eva to get some things done.  I headed to the high school to help set up the tailgating tent for the cheerleaders and their families...this was the start of all of my documenting and pics...ha!

Another Blackout Tea spotted! :)

It was our Hometown Heroes Game- dedicated to our veterans- hence the Red, White and Blue Balloons

Sam is a senior- I can't believe it- Lea is sporting her Mama Pin :)

Time for the march on the field!

What a game- Windham crushed Timberlane 53-7!

We had a blast being back here!!

After the game, Eva's "play date" continued in the pool and we cooked on the grill and binged some more Friday Night Lights.  Diana was at a Sweet 16 for one of her besties

We slept in a bit and then Robby B and Eva headed to softball.  Diana did her homework and I got the meal planning- grocery order and some cooking done.  I made the first batch of pumpkin chocolate chip muffins of the season

I also made a lasagna for Sunday dinner.

Then it was time for the first hockey game of the season!  It was an AWESOME game- the Cyclones crushed their opponents 8-0- complete shut out!

Yeah Pidge!

Hockey Moms were in full effect-love these ladies!

After that I had another open house at the same property but had some time to kill so grabbed a coffee and headed over to Trader Joe's to get some fall snacks/treats!  I had a couple of requests from Eva ;)

(Will share my Fall Haul soon)  Anyway...I headed back to the property and got set up.  Greg, one of our favorite mortgage guys met me there, and made us a great little sign :)

Meanwhile, Robby B snagged our pumpkins because Shaw's was having an awesome sale- 2 for $12 and they are huge!  He brought them home and sprayed them down with a varnish that prevents them from rotting too soon AND fights off the critters!

After that, it was time to come home and have dinner with the fam (minus Diana who was with her man having a sweet date at a nearby Mexican restaurant)

They are TOO CUTE

We helped Eva write a speech as she prepares to run for student council and we also helped her to assemble some tchotchkes :)

Then I crashed hard!

It was a great weekend :)  What were you up to?

  1. Enjoyed reading about your fun weekend! Love the cheer pictures- it looks like Diana is loving cheer. Are all or most varsity games on Saturday? Here varsity football games are on Friday evening and JV games are usually on Saturday. Have a great Monday!

  2. What a fun fall weekend! Is your weather still pretty warm? I read that Eva was having her pool party at home, so I guess so if she was in the water. It's cool here in the mornings! I just woke up to 52 degrees! It's amazing.

  3. That is so sad that the restaurant where Diana works is closing down! But I'm not at all surprised you've found her another great opportunity already. That sounds like a fun weekend filled with football, hockey, family and friends.

  9. What a busy, fun weekend! How sad about Diana losing her job. So many small businesses having to close because of this economy. So lucky to have you as a recruiter. Friday night lights are the best! Diana looks great in her cheer attire, and Eva looks great in her hockey gear! It's exciting times! I need to go ahead and get our pumpkins too. I did go ahead and grab some mums. Have a great week, Holly! :)

  10. I'm just catching up on posts from this week. Friday Night Lights looks like so much fun! I hate to hear about businesses shutting down, but it's so tough out there right now. Around us getting help is a problem too. Hope you're having a nice week!
