Hi Friends and thanks for stopping by. Happy Monday!
Sarah and I are so glad you are here. If you blogged today, grab our graphic above and link back up with us below!
Let's get right to it!
It was another whirlwind of a weekend AND a VERY special one!
Eva received her Confirmation and First Holy Communion on Friday Night and it was perfect!
Another Amazing Cake By Kat!
On our way...just like a bride ;)
With her Best Pal- Papa Bob
Lighting A Candle for Grammy
With Her Confirmation Sponsor- Miss Lea
With Some Of Her Pals
Getting Ready!
Getting Confirmed!
Receiving Her First Communion!
Now it's time to celebrate- with Mimi and Papa Pete!
With Uncle Matt
With her Siblings and Significant Others
We enjoyed an awesome little celebration at home- it was stress free for Mama since we had it catered by Rig A Toni's and my wonderful step kids set up all of the food while we were at the church. I could truly relax and celebrate with my family and besties!
On Saturday morning, I woke up grateful! We watched King Charles' Coronation for a little bit and actually got to see him being crowned- we made the girls come in to watch for a few as well.
I took the girls to Dunks and then dropped them off at the studio for Lorax rehearsal- Diana is helping to direct the play and having so much fun (in her spare time-seriously what is that?)
Then my mom and I caught up about the night before and agreed that it was just perfect and so relaxing! That is our Pidge- she calms us all!
Robby B and I then went on an extra-long date walk and the weather was PERFECT! The grass everywhere here is so green so I was thrilled!!
Then we enjoyed some breakfast bowls from Troys that I had picked up earlier
Rob went to get Eva and I then watched the last few episodes of Firefly Lane and could not stop crying- oh it killed me
Then Rob brought Eva to a local craft fair so she could "help" Miss Nancy (Zoe's Mom) sell her beautiful glass pieces- she had a ball with Nancy, Zoe and her sister Lily :)
Then it was time for Opening Day- Eva's First Softball Game of the Season!
She was living her best life this weekend as you can see AND her siblings were there which made her extra happy!
I met Tina for a quick cocktail and app and then we all met up at the high school for the Annual Styles and S.M.I.L.E.S Fashion Show - all proceeds went to Dana Farber and Windham Helping Hands. We have gone in years past- Robby B and the Girls actually modeled one year AND Zach modeled a few years- it is always a fun time and great show!
This year, Diana and the Senior Dancers of LDA performed two numbers- they were terrific!
On Sunday I had an easy morning which I really needed. I blogged, meal planned and placed our grocery order while having Glee on in the background. I am on the final season.
Then it was time to finally celebrate Eva's bday with her friends- yes what a weekend!
The kids were SO GOOD....they had a blast.
Last night, Eva had one more commitment- a rehearsal for the Spring Show and while she was there Rob and I watched the series finale of "A Million Little Things"- I fell asleep crying last night from this
and from some horrible news- my best friend Cass's mom passed away- My heart is breaking for my friend. Rest In Peace Cathy
This is a flashback when Cass's Mom took us out for a Girl's Night at The Atkinson Country Club- this is how I will remember her
Holly, congrats on your daughter. What a busy weekend for you and the family. I hope you have a nice week.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you and your friend are mourning her mom. That is really sad.
ReplyDeleteWhile holding sorrow in one hand, how much joy are you holding in the other one?!? Could Eva have had a BIGGER weekend???
What a busy, but fun looking weekend! Congratulations to Eva! That breakfast looks amazing! Also, I'm so very sorry to hear of your friend's mom. That's heartbreaking. Sending hugs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a full weekend of wonderful activities and celebrations (with the exception, of course, of your friend's mom's passing). I know your mama heart was full of joy for Eva and her celebrations. Great pics of your family, per usual!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on Eva's confirmation and Holy Communion. I'm confused though, are you Roman Catholic? I mean, here in the Netherlands Roman Catholic children receive their first Holy Communion at around age seven and then something else that I always thought was confirmation at around age twelve. It may be that I'm lost in translation. Anyway, it sounds like you had a busy, fun-filled weekend (except for the loss of your friend's Mom, of course). Hope your week is off to a great start.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! Congratulations Eva!
ReplyDeleteWhat a special weekend for Eva and your whole family!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like Eva had the best weekend ever! I'm so sorry to read of your friend's mom passing though.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on her First Communion, love her gloves so much! Our school gets their confirmation later like 7th grade I think. And how fun to rent out a movie theater for her birthday? My gears are rolling now for my daughters next birthday!
ReplyDeleteThe cake looks amazing and Eva looks beautiful. What a wonderful and special weekend!
