Diana took part in her first show at Windham High School. It was a weekend of one act plays. These plays are directed by a select group of Senior Students at WHS. Some original and some existing.
Diana tried out in September and was cast in NancyBella Rago's production of "A Reason To Live."
NancyBella wrote and directed this one act play. It was 20 minutes long but it was so powerful.
Out of the 5 shows performed, Diana's show was chosen to perform and compete in an upcoming theater festival. Will share details as we get them- very exciting!
The story is about a family struggling after a car accident. Their daughter was the driver and her friend in the car was killed. Very sad and dramatic.
Diana said she learned so much and didn't think she would like the experience but ended up loving it and it really gave her the opportunity to get her arms around dramatic acting and straight plays.
Chuck Swierad, our favorite professional photographer was there and did not disappoint..check out a few of his shots...
Diana played Suzy- a Mom
This is a group shot of all of the actors and directors involved in the 5 shows this past weekend
and a 6 minute snippet I got on video
I am documenting her journey as I always do...this begins the next chapter of high school performing
How exciting that the actors get to perform this again in a new round of competition! And it's really cool that Diana got to stretch her acting skills and realize she's capable and enjoys dramatic acting.
