Hi Friends and Happy Monday!
Hope you all had a great weekend! if you blogged today, grab our graphic above and link back up to us below- would love to chat about your goings on!
First things first, today is my Mama's Birthday- Happy Birthday Mum/Mimi- we love you and can't wait to celebrate you next weekend!
and now here is what our little weekend looked like.....
Friday Night
We divided and conquered....Daddy and Eva had a blast at the Daddy Daughter Dance...we were so grateful that this tradition returned...there is nothing like this sweetness!
(I made Eva a little flower arrangement and a pocket flower for Rob too)
Once at the dance, they had their Daddy Daughter portrait taken and then Eva found her friends immediately
Rob sent me this pic and said 5 minutes in...everything has been tossed...ha!
Oh so fun...
Hamming it up for the photographer at the end of the night-such characters
While they were there, Diana and I were asked to lead the Family Stations of the Cross at our church...first there was a community dinner in the parish center and then we all walked over to the church for the stations. We lead the readings from the altar as the priest and servers walked to each station with candles. It was beautiful and such a special memory we now have.
Saturday
It was a busy day! Although it was drizzling, Rob and I bundled up and headed out for our date walk...thank God we got back to this...I missed the last couple of weeks!
Then he and Eva went to her last hockey game of the season and I took Diana to her play rehearsal. She would be there for half the day and had to miss dance but we are getting close to show time and she is excited!
I met my mom for coffee and then did some errands and got cooking.
I cooked a homemade meat sauce to go with pasta for that night as Diana was having her dance pals sleepover. We also snagged a birthday cake for one of her pals.
Later on her friends arrived and I got serving - Happy Birthday Caitlin!
Lea came over to keep me company so we had a fun night of catching up and enjoying the humor of these teens
Judy came by late to pick up Liz and stayed to chat for a bit...such a great group of kids...loud and dramatic for sure...but just great!
Sunday
Once we served the kids breakfast and they were all picked up, we headed to mass and then had another busy day...softball tryouts and a dance rehearsal for Eva...homework for Diana...groceries...organizing and crashing hard!
That's a wrap! What were you up to?
Happy Birthday to your mom! Love the Father/Daughter dance pictures
