TOP THREE OF 2021
So you may have guessed from my graphic and bold
font that my three faves for the year are "Not A Happy
Family" by Shari Lapena, (she did it again- keeps you
on the edge of your seat- you can't help but turn the
pages! So suspenseful and scary and oh so good)
"Yoga Pant Nation" by Laurie Gelman (I really hope
she keeps this series going- this was Book #3 in the
Class Mom series and I laughed just as hard as the
first two books- she is so on point for moms like me
and in this season of life!) and my TOP PICK for 2021
is "That Summer" by Jennifer Weiner (oh friends! I
didn't know what to expect. She has always been one
of my favorite authors but after reading "Big Summer"
a few years ago and being so so disappointed, I didn't
have much hope BUT she made me a believer
again...such a wonderful story about love and loss and
trauma and the womens' movement also woven in
with the beautiful backdrop of Cape Cod! So yeah for
being #1 this year!
I love the class mom series too! Not a happy family was a great read too. I loved Shay and Erika’s suggestions!
ReplyDeleteI am impressed that you read as much as you did this year with your work, volunteering, kids' activities, and busy social life. I want to read That Summer now. I'm pretty sure I read a Jennifer Weiner book this year- I thought maybe it was That Summer but I just looked it up and it is definitely not the one that I read but now I want to read it.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Not a Happy Family too... but it didn't make it onto my favorites list.
ReplyDeleteOH I need to read Yoga Pant Nation!! I love her other books too.
