Hi Friends! Diana and I leave tomorrow for a couple of days in NYC with our pals! We can't wait to get back to that beautiful city! We do have some plans and reservations that I will share below BUT I am looking to you for some recommendations for great places for breakfast, lunch and shopping! Share away...thanks in advance!
Friday
Our car service is picking us up at noon and then we are headed to Logan Airport to catch our 3pm flight. We are slated to land around 4:19 and will head right to our hotel in Times Square. Any must sees in Times Square?
After we freshen up, we will head right to our dinner reservation which is at Oceana near Rockefeller Center. Any recommendations of must sees or shopping in this area?
Saturday
We want to grab bagels or breakfast somewhere first thing. We have a 10am tour of the 9/11 Museum and Memorial so either somewhere near Times Square or somewhere Downtown near the museum- thoughts?
After the tour, we will have time to walk around and shop/eat/whatever so would love your thoughts!
Later on, we will head back to the hotel to get ready for the reason we are going to NYC in the first place- we are going to see Megan Hilty perform at Feinstein's/54 Below! This will include dinner and the show! Diana is SO EXCITED to see one of her idols!
We may have time to walk around a bit more but who knows! Jeanine and I plan on hitting up our hotel lounge which is supposed to be amazing ;)
Sunday
We will have to leave first thing to catch our 9am flight back home. Someone needs to be at Nutcracker rehearsals by 12 noon and I am determined to make that happen!
As always, appreciate your advice! Bring it on!
Really, just people watching is so much fun!!! For eating, we have gone to the restaurant which was the outside of Seinfeld but I forget exactly where that is. We have also eaten at Katz's Diner (the deli where "the scene" from When Harry Met Sally was filmed). It's an experience for sure! And when we went to NYC last, we grabbed Starbucks and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. That was incredible! We walked to the 9/11 Memorial after we got off the bridge so it's not a long walk, if you don't mind walking. From the other side of the Brooklyn Bridge, I think you can take a subway to anywhere again. Have so much fun!!! I can't wait to get back to NYC!!!
ReplyDeleteHave fun! I haven't been to the city in ages and ages. I used to go this time of year with my grandmother and we'd catch a show, do some shopping, check out FAO Swartz, get a nice meal and just enjoy people watching.
