Hello Monday and Hello Anniversary Weekend!

 

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!  This weekend was a super fun and special weekend for us.  Rob and I celebrated 17 years of marriage- yeah!  Here is what our little weekend looked like

 

Friday Night

 

I took the girls down to my parents for their last summer sleepover...they had a blast playing an Italian dice game with my parents, my brother and his girlfriend and gobbled up their favorite- Mimi's homemade spaghetti and meatballs :)

 

When I got home I was giddy because I had alone time- that never happens!  I enjoyed dinner (Pasquale's takeout- my fave) and a glass of wine by myself  :)  Then I turned on my new fave show thanks to my friend Jill called Encore on Disney +

 

The show travels to various towns across the US and brings together people who performed high school musicals in their past and they re-create the show for one last "encore performance."  Oh friends...this is right up my alley- Rob joined in when he got home from dinner with his Dad too- we have watched the first four episodes and they covered so far, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, The Sound of Music and Grease.  Can't wait to binge the rest.  Kristen Bell is the Executive Producer and Host.

 

  

 

It was a great night...and Remi made sure I snuggled him BIG TIME :)

 

 

Saturday

 

Happy Anniversary My Love!  This year marked 17 years :)

 

 We started our day with our usual Date Walk...but this time we had a "Date Walk Crasher" ;)

 

 

and enjoyed a relaxing morning at home....

 

Later on our Uber picked us up and then we headed to my parents to pick up the girls and Mary (Matt was feeling sick) and we headed into Boston!  Yeah!

 

We met up with the rest of our fam and besties at The Yard House for lunch and fun....

 

 and then we all headed over to Fenway Pahhkkk as we say in these parts....and as we say, "it was a scorcha!" 90 degrees- wooh!

Sox won!  The return of Chris Sale pitching was epic!  So glad we were there for their come back!

Sunday

Rob and I were up bright and early and headed to mass to meet our new pastor.  We were so happy and relieved as he is wonderful and we are excited to see the great things he brings to our community. Then we headed home to get the girls up and ready for the day.  Tom and Laurel invited us back up to the lake with the Batsons and we had an amazing day...in fact the weather was terrific all weekend and certainly made up for the very rainy July we had.  

A day of boating and fun ensued!

It was such a full weekend...grateful to be surrounded by our people!  Happy Monday- have a great week!
