Hi Friends! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter Weekend if you celebrated!
We sure did....the overall theme was grateful...for the rebirth...for the celebration...for all being together again...for being at mass with everyone....just grateful to be where we are!
Here is what our Easter Weekend looked like....
Good Friday
Mimi and Papa Bob joined our fam on Friday evening for the "Living Stations Of The Cross"...I was so happy that this was able to happen again....just so moving...so powerful...so essential
Holy Saturday
It was Holy Saturday! It was a sunny day filled with hope!
Rob and I started the day with our weekly Date Walk...it was chilly but sunny so I will take it!
We tried to dress Remi up for the holiday but it didn't go over well ;)
Then it was time for Mimi to come over and we participated in our Annual Easter Baking and Coloring of the Eggs...Papa Pete came too for moral support! ;)
I also made us lunch!
Auntie Cass dropped off baskets for the girls that we didn't discover until later but the girls were so excited...and spoiled!
That night we were supposed to go to a friend's house for dinner but the date changed and we grabbed dinner out with Laurel and Tom...perfect way to unwind after a productive day!
When we got home, we got to work on the baskets and eggs.....
Easter Sunday
We were up bright and early preparing to host Easter Brunch. When the girls got up, they dove into their Easter Baskets that the Bunny left :)
Then it was time to head outside for the big egg hunt!
Remi was trying to get in on the action too ;)
Back inside, it was time to get into our Easter Best and do some more prep....
I tried again to dress him up but he chewed this off in less than two minutes...sigh...
He was much happier playing with the "banana" that Miss Laurel gave him
We all headed to 9:30 mass together....I really enjoyed being with my entire family back in church....appreciated every moment!
After mass, we headed home to host our Easter Brunch....it was a beautiful day filled with QT and yummy food!
Grateful for the return of a more traditional Easter for our fam...feeling hope and following the joy...he is RISEN!
Sweet Remi! I just want to steal him!
ReplyDelete@Heather- too funny! I think your pups are pretty sweet too :)
ReplyDeleteEveryone looks so pretty all dressed up for Easter! Sounds like a fabulous weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful looking weekend! Looks like it was chock full of tradition and fun yet solemnity with the Good Friday service. Your parents look fantastic- like they do not age or something!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!! Your Easter weekend looks so lovely! I love all of your traditions with your family. The living stations of the cross outside is such a great way to do it. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteAw, looks like you had a great weekend! I love that you've kept up with your walks. I've fallen off the wagon with my runs lately, and I need to get back on it. 🤦♀️
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter! Looks like you had a great weekend. Remi is so cute, and the living cross looks like a powerful experience.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got to experience a more normal Easter. That sounds so beautiful and celebratory. I CAN'T WAIT to be able to celebrate with my church family in person again.
