Hi Friends...tired is an understatement, however, more grateful than anything this morning! Nutcracker Filming wrapped up at 8pm last night...earlier than expected and the weekend was a huge success.
So so grateful for my girls and all of the kids to get this experience and so grateful that Rob and I were there to witness it all....magic is the best word I can use to describe what it was like to film a feature production.
All of the backstage moments you don't see in the audience....all of the direction and critiques coming from Mrs. Mullen, Kate and the film crew....all fascinating...and seeing how a film is made was such an education.....
Can't wait enough and with COVID #s rising everywhere, we were so worried that after months of hard work, this wouldn't happen BUT it did....Praise God!
Sharing some pics and videos of a few things I snapped and a few things friends sent me....glad I can put them all here.....
next step is attending the live premier at a Drive In theater in a few weeks....yeah! The girls cannot wait! :)
Rob was on Tech Crew- they do all of the set work
I was on the Film Crew and got to work one of the slates all weekend...think "Take 1" ;)
Friday Night
First night of filming and the night was dedicated solely to the Snow Scene because of its intricacies
Warming Up with Mrs Mullen- everything was so safe- when not filming, the dancers were all masked
Saturday
This was a crazy and long day! 8am-9pm pretty much! Both of my girls came for their first day of filming- Eva for her role of Polichinelle and Diana for her roles of Angel and Russian
My Girls all ready for their first day of filming...
The Calm Before The Storm
Eva's Ready For Polis!
Rehearsing with Mrs. M
and Mother Ginger :)
Oh, Holly, this looks like a dream!!!!! I'm so happy to see it's carrying on this year, although different than you all expected. It will bring so much happiness to those that look forward to this each year. Thank you for sharing all these pictures and videos from your weekend. It put a much needed smile on my face this morning.
