We are coming off another beautiful fall weekend where everyone in our family experienced some joy, beautiful weather and the best that fall has to offer...yes we are still in a pandemic but I think we are doing a good job of living in the now and enjoying every day gifts....
Snapped shots to share with you as always...
Friday
Quick Lunch with Judy and Fellow Dance Mom- of course we had to share the cupcake of the month for dessert....worth skipping breakfast for...
That night, Laurel had Tom's closest friends over to surprise him for his 50th...it was a great time...a safe way to celebrate him (outside) and he enjoyed some of his favorites that Laurel whipped up like her famous Apple Crisp...
Saturday
Saturday Morning Robby B and I headed out for our early morning "date walk" but it was SO DARK and 5 minutes in I realized it was raining so we turned around because "the hair"...I know...hysterical...but I also had work to do as I was letting Eva have a couple of her besties over later on and I wanted to make sure I had everything prepped :)
We divided and conquered after that- I brought Diana and her friend to dance class...stopped at Starbucks for a coffee and then met Rob at Eva's soccer game...it was chilly in the morning but warmed up BIG TIME later on!
It was the perfect weather for Eva's play date- it got up to 70 degrees FTW! The girls played outside and we also did some fun pumpkin painting and a festive lunch inside...love these girls...besties already...warms my heart!
Snapped a few pics of the Halloween lunch I prepared...
When the girls got here, they ran around outside for a few and then came on in to start painting pumpkins!
Then it was time for lunch...and the girls cracked us up with their little jokes and stories from school- they are in the same class and three of them were in the same class last year too...
Then it was time for more outside fun...emoji beach balls and a spider ring toss...plus lots of running...jumping and screaming...they were so happy...and it reminded us once again how much they need to socialize and feel "normal"...breaks my heart
That night, Rob and I were spoiled by Jess and Joe once again and one of their amazing homemade dinners...New England Seafood Pies...I was in charge of apps so made that festive cheese ball once more along with goat cheese and onion jam crostini...
and put together a dish of brownies so we could sing to Joe- we were supposed to be celebrating his 50th in Austin this past weekend but COVID and all...hope to be able to do that next year but until then it was a quiet and low key night to celebrate one of our faves
Always love snapping shots of Joe in the kitchen- he kills me!
Then it was Nutcracker rehearsals the rest of the day....and maybe some more Hallmark Christmas mixed in too ;)
You really put together a fun Halloween party for the girls. Way to go! Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya - The Other Side of the Road
