Well friends...this year hasn't looked like any other and neither does Back To School but we are embracing this as much as we can. My girls went to school yesterday for the first time in SIX months...it was surreal but seriously, they were so excited to be back with their teachers and friends and classmates...nervous but very excited...we are grateful that they have the ability to learn in person.
On Tuesday, at lunchtime, I took Eva to see her classroom and meet her new teacher...she was so excited :)
Later on, it was time for the girls' first dance classes of the year! Papa Bob chauffeured our little ballerinas for us...he is the best! He also snapped a pic for me :)
Then yesterday, I was up bright and early (as always) to prepare breakfast and get the lunches packed for the first day!...I snapped a pic of our Coton Colors plate- thanks to many of you, we finally scored one on Amazon. I love how we can change the charms at the top. I ordered a school bus one but it didn't get here in time so I thought the chevron pumpkin was a good substitute ;)
(Eva still let us pack her a Bento Box- Diana said NO...that is so babyish) ha!
Eva started 1st grade and she gets to go to school every day! She was up when Diana was up because she was too "nervous" and truth be told, most days she gets up at the same time anyway...
Breakfast is served...
Then I presented the girls with a special token...one to remind us of each other...especially after being home together for six months..there may have been a few tears between us
Then it was time for our obligatory "front step chalkboard pics"
Diana's turn...
She started 7th grade...she is now a big Middle Schooler...eek!
All together now....
Got our masks and we are ready to go...
It looks like both girls had a great start to the year!! I hope today and all the rest are just as wonderful!! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYEA for face-to-face school and YEA for finding the Happy Everything plate. You will love it!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful start to a new school year; wishing you all the best! We're still trying to adjust over here... high school starts so early and that bus comes at such an unbelievably early time we've only made it on the bus once so far!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a successful first day! Hope you can relax and enjoy the weekend !
