Summer Fashion Wins

While things are tough right now, I find myself needing some distractions.  Writing a blog post this morning is one of those distractions.

I appreciate all of your continued prayers and words of encouragement.  My husband was laid off last week and it was a complete shock.  We are trying to follow our faith and rally so I have found in my spare time, instead of the usual, I have been helping him network- I can't help myself- it is what I do for a living and desperate times call for desperate measures.

Anyway, I digress...I will keep you all posted.
In the meantime, let's escape from a reality a little bit and think about something fun like Summer Fashion.

I know many of you are already thinking Fall...especially down South when your kids are going back to school!  We still have three weeks of summer here in New England so we are trying to soak it up!

I wanted to share a few summer fashion wins today.  Outfits/pieces that just "worked" this summer....I like to document such things as it will help me "shop my closet" again!

Have you checked out "Shop Chartreuse" yet?  It's an online boutique with such cute pieces.  I discovered them two years ago and have snagged a couple of things during that time.

Check them out HERE

I especially like their cute tops- some bright-some black- they all just work :)

and you know my wardrobe would not be complete without a little Lilly Pulitzer thrown in.

Some pieces I have had for YEARS...this dress, for example, I have had for over FIVE years! :)  I pull it out every summer

and this one has been in the rotation for a few years too :)

I really haven't shopped at The Loft in quite some time.  I used to get things there all the time for work and home but haven't liked anything....I pulled this top out of my closet that I got a few years back and for this particular day/night it worked.

Another dress that I have had for SIX YEARS is one I snagged at Dillard's.  I LOVE green and it is so hard to find the shade I love- I would describe it as Kelly Green.  Anyway, I pull this dress out every summer too :)

and as I have stated before, this was the summer of shorts...the first time I have dared to wear shorts in a really long time...years!  :)

Ok...that was a nice little break...thanks for reading XO
