3rd Annual Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

Yesterday we hosted our 3rd Annual Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt!

I love this time of year and I love this neighborhood tradition.  In fact it is my favorite.  We started it and we are continuing the tradition as long as we can.

You can read about the first one HERE
and the second one HERE

and the third one was yesterday.  We were hoping to do it Easter Weekend again but this year, it happens to be the beginning of April vacation for our kids and lots of families are headed out of town so we needed to do it earlier while our pals are still here!

Diana was so sad to miss it.  She had a last minute dance rehearsal called and she can't miss her rehearsal time.  We did save some eggs for her which saved the day so there's that!

Anyway, as in previous years, the kids each got to find and collect up to 12 eggs each- all filled with various candy.  Each family dropped off 12 eggs for each child who was participating.  The eggs got dropped off all weekend long.  Then I placed them in the yard!

As the kids collected, the parents chatted and we had the same festive snacks we always do......

The "Easter Snack Mix" which was Corn Chex, Bugles, Pizza Cheese Pretzel Wheels, Cadbury Mini Eggs and Easter M and Ms

The Carrot Cheese Ball.  Check out the recipe HERE

and Easter Skewers.  Got the idea HERE

We had spirits for the adults and a whole lotta fun!

This really is my favorite neighborhood tradition and I am so glad the weather cooperated- it was sunny and 65 degrees!  Today we are back to cold and rainy ...ugh...but glad the weather was great over the weekend- it's ok to be rainy when we are back to work and school right?  Hope you all have a great week! :)

  1. We have our neighborhood hunt this weekend and I am going to use one of your recipe ideas--even the trail mix or the peep skewers. So cute!
