It was another fun-filled-fall weekend in these parts! Hope you had a great weekend too.
Here is what ours looked like.....
Friday
Diana lost a tooth on Thursday night and woke up to a wonderful note from Daddy, The Tooth Fairy ;)
Eva enjoyed her gymnastics class and hanging out with Mama for the day while Daddy was at a trade show. (I even got her to source some candidates on Linked In for me- just kidding) ;)
That night, Diana and I headed to her cheer practice- the last one before Saturday's comp and "Coach Lea" surprised us with her new bangs- love!
Saturday
We were up bright and early getting the house in order and such. We would be hosting a Risotto Cook Off that night but needed to get ready for Diana's 1st cheer comp of the season too- crazy time of year for us always!
The girls did amazing at the Season Premier at Bedford High. They placed 1st in their category and had a fun time doing it!
Before the comp.....
#1 Cheer Dads!
On the mat...waiting for awards
Outside after winning the big trophy!
Saturday Night
Right from there, Diana headed straight to Nutcracker rehearsal and we headed home for the big night. I started cooking and my friend "Coach Coleen" came over to hang out and toast our victories. She is head coaching the next team down this year and they placed 1st as well- great day all around!
Then it was time for the big Kahuna! Everyone started coming over and we set everything up. Everyone brought an app or risotto dish to be judged and we all enjoyed the various dishes and fantastic wine to go with them. I was in my happy place with my tribe all there (minus Jill and Eric who I missed). I snapped a few pics of course!
and the winner was....
none other than Mr. Tom McLain for his Mushroom and Fontina Risotto!
One of BA's masterpieces- Pumpkin Cheesecake
Sunday
Diana had her first CCD class of the year and we all met up at mass. Then it was time to relax for a bit before her football game. After that, the Batsons invited us over for dinner and pumpkin carving. It was a great way to wrap up another amazing fall weekend.
Love Miss Lea's Halloween decorations...
The Kids had a BALL!
and I have to preface this by saying, it has been soooo warm and soooo beautiful this fall in New England. It was nighttime and it was still in the 70's...we were outside and so so comfortable- Praise The Lord!
Pidge was so proud of the pumpkin that Daddy she carved :)
WonderFULL weekend....what were you up to?
Congratulations to those 1st place cheerleaders! Yay! That pumpkin cheesecake looks delish! I love everything pumpkin! What a great weekend! Have a great week!
