Villa Breton for the V's

We enjoyed the company of Dave and Tammy last night. Per usual, we shared several laughs over dinner and decided we do not get together enough!

Dave was my first manager at my firm. He has since moved on to start up a sister company for us up in Portsmouth but we do a great job of keeping in touch!

His wife Tammy is the best! We hit it off as soon as we met and found we had lots in common. Time always goes by way too fast when we are with them.

Last night's dinner started with appetizers of shrimp cocktail and mushroom & goat cheese tartlets. The main course was beef tenderloin and stuffed lobster tails. My favorite part of the meal was a new side I made for the first time- couscous, goat cheese and veggie stuffed peppers. Dessert was an assortment of brownies and cookies accompanied by coffee and limoncello creme- delicioso!

I love that dirty water...

Boston you're my home:) Mum and I had a wonderful evening in Boston on Friday night. I had to be in the city for a large client meeting in the financial district. After my meeting, I drove over to the waterfront and parked in my favorite lot- Lewis Wharf. I then walked down to the Marriott Long Wharf (my fave in the city!) and had a cosmo all by my lonesome, to celebrate the wonderful changes that are about to take place in my life (stay tuned)

Mum met me there for a cosmo and we had such a great time chatting. We then walked over to the North End and enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Riccardo's. After that, it was time to be nice to the wonderful men in our lives, so we hopped on over to Modern Pastry to pick up some treats to bring home (of course I couldn't forget Kayla and snagged her a bag of the jordan almonds that she loves so much)

Black and White photos of the night will be posted in a few days...can't wait to see how they came out! Stay tuned...

PS Sox grabbed the AL East the same night....love that dirty water

Gig at the Black Water Grill

Rob and Mike played at the Black Water Grill last night- one of my favorite venues. So many great friends came out- Matt & Gina, Cass & Steve, Cyndy & Joel, Jill and Kevin Underwood...Kathy....it was a fun night..Rob's voice just keeps getting better and better and hey! The Red Sox won!!!!

SHS Homecoming 2007

Yesterday was just the perfect day for football and outdoor festivities! We decided to support the local high school and go to the big game to capture some shots and support our adoring middle child as she basks in the glory of high school fun!

I remember our homecoming senior year...one of the greatest days in my entire life...I was crowned Homecoming Queen 1990 at the AHS Gym during our school pep rally. That night the football game...under the lights..just rocked....that is the one thing I miss about high school :(

Check out these shots....SHS almost took Pinkerton but missed by 3 points- heartbreaking!

Saturday Mornings

Every Saturday morning Cass and I go for a walk at Griffin Park and then grab coffee and chat at the Village Bean in our beloved home town. Alexis, of course, joins us, but instead of coffee, she chooses to have cereal and formula :)

I captured her here with her mom and our favorite Village Bean staff member....Sandy!

Breton Anniversary Celebration at the Olympia

We had a blast last Sunday night! Grammy and Papa took us out for our anniversary and Kayla joined us as well..we had the amazing Greek food at The Olympia Restaurant in Lowell and then shared some laughs and went down memory lane. Papa and Rob actually took me into the store that Papa used to own. We drove past some of their old neighborhoods and even popped in to have a nice visit with the Yianopoulos Family :) What a great time.

If you are ever in Lowell, you must check out the Olymnpia!

The landmark in Lowell's Acre neighborhood was founded over 55 years ago, in October 1952,
by Socrates and Kiki Tingas & Kiki's brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Barbara Cocalis.

The Olympia Restaurant is the oldest restaurant in Lowell, Massachusetts
owned and operated by the same family. (www.newolympia.com)

A Wickedly Wonderful Show

Rob and I finally got to see Wicked last night at the Opera House in Boston. We purchased the tickets two months ago in celebration of him landing at Oracle.

It was worth the wait and then some!

What a brilliant cast! I can't even tell you who was better Elphaba (The Wicked Witch) or Galinda I mean Glinda (The Good Witch)...they both had such solid broadway voices and charisma in their respective roles.

If you haven't seen it yet, you must! Shows have been extended at the Opera House due to the show's popularity! (Oh yeah and don't forget to swing by PF Chang's before or after for an order of lettuce wraps- delish)

The gist of this musical story is as follows:

"Long before Dorothy dropped in, two other girls meet in the Land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. How these two unlikely friends end up as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch makes for the most spellbinding new musical in years."

Enjoy the pix- the last one is of Victoria Matlock and Christina DeCicco "The Witches" backstage..the answer is no!!!

CAbi Show!

Cassandra and I hopped on over to Denise's on Sunday. She invited us over for a CAbi show and brunch. CAbi stands for Carol Anderson by Invitation. She is a clothing designer who only sells her lines through private consultants/house parties.

Her clothing is exquisite...we were hoping to walk away with nothing however the wraps were irresistible!! We both purchased the same two items! Too funny. We now need to make sure that we don't wear them the same day. I wish I had photos of them.

The chocolate brown wrap we got will be beautiful over a chocolate brown turtleneck or long sleeve teeshirt. The grey wrap sweater will be adorable over a long sleeve white tee and jeans- BOTH perfect for Zack's football games :)

Denise was a lovely host. She made two delish salads...ala Barefoot Contessa. We already have the recipes and will be making them soon.

Chris and Amy's Engagement Party!

Boy did we have a ball! It was a lovely night. My cousin Chris is marrying Amy...a wonderful girl...they make a great couple...and they are such fun to be with. We enjoyed dinner and some wild karaoke at Bocelli's in Medford Square :)

It was particularly nice to be able to spend some time with my Dad's sister Aunty Peggy and Uncle Billy!

It was a typical Italian feast....endless food....decadent desserts and plenty of singing and spirits...soooo excited for their wedding!

Birthday Weekend at the Blue Water!

First I need to start by asking, did we not have the best summer weather wise? I will never forget the Summer of 07- I truly can say I was at the beach once/week which was a goal. This Labor Day weekend was the perfect ending to a fabulous Summer!

We went with Cassandra and Steve to the Blue Water Resort in S. Yarmouth (on the Cape) and had a blast! We were so impressed with the resort. The pool was beautiful and overlooked rows of flowering bushes AND the beautiful ocean!!!!

We spent Saturday morning laying out at the pool and then had lunch and cocktails poolside. Later on, we crashed on the beach and it was just perfect. Cass and I adventured into the ocean and enjoyed the warm weather until we spotted jelly fish swimming around us....soooo...that ended our swimming stint!

Before going in to change and get ready, we decided to enjoy one last hour poolside AND that is where we got to see "man boy"..God did we have some laughs!

Later on, after getting ready to go out, we got to sit right in the resort's garden and enjoyed some cocktails and appetizers.

We enjoyed dinner at the Riverway Lobsterhouse and then headed into Hyannis to check out the bar scene and the end of the awesome Sox game when Buckholz pitched the no-hitter.

Sunday morning, we headed to breakfast at the Hearth & Kettle and then strolled downtown Hyannis and enjoyed some great shops...especially Bella of Cape Cod!
