Friday Favorites (November 6, 2026)

Hi Friends and Happy Friday!  Yeah!  Favorite Day of the Week!  Here are some recent faves...

 ChatGPT Prompt

Have you tried this?  Scary how dead on it is...

Ask Who I Think I Am, Who The People Closest To Me Probably See, Who Strangers Think I Am and The Real Me (Hidden Inside That No One Really Knows)

 MEMEs

 Voting!

We voted!  Gronk voted!  Did you? Rob and I met at our polls at lunchtime and so glad we did!

It was thrilling to see Gronk at our polls...he is just as big as you would imagine after seeing him on tv- NH had an initiative to send retired famous athletes to the polls to encourage people to get out and vote and it worked- our polls were well attended all day and night! Voting is such a privilege.

 Date Night!

This week, Eva was at science camp with her school through Wednesday so Rob and I got a true taste of what empty nesting will be like and honestly friends?  It wasn't as bad as I had feared.

Now I am going to go off on a little tangent.  Rob and I have never been alone...we never had that luxury.  When we started dating, he had three kids so we have always been raising kids together.  That is what made me more nervous about being alone and being without kids.  Call me crazy.  Anyway, though I have been dreading that alone time, I can tell you, we thoroughly enjoyed our time together and slept SO WELL!  We truly got to catch up without flying around to practices, etc.  We talked about work in great detail and even enjoyed a date night together on Tuesday  night!

Lea and Mike had given him a gift card to Windham Gourmet for his birthday so we bopped on over there for some delicious sandwiches for dinner.  It was a great night.

First, the fit...

 The meal

and just us :)

Rail Trail

Our weather was glorious this week! I was able to get outside for a walk at lunchtime a couple of days and even took Remi one day!  Just beautiful and refreshing

and Yoga and Lifting were pretty awesome this week too....

Lunch at Mimi and Papa's

So mad I didn't snap a pic or two...my mom made me a wonderful fall lunch...annual tradition...we enjoyed her Veal Piccata, Lobster Fettuccine, Fall Salad and Sour Cream Corn Bread.  For dessert, she made her Pumpkin Toll House Cake...to say I was stuffed was an understatement!  Everything was so delish but the company even better.  My dad is a bit sick but I hope he bounces back quickly- he is in great shape for his age (85) ...just don't like to see him slowing down...I know I am spoiled.  I also came home with a HUGE Halloween bucket for Pidge...she was thrilled!

Eva's Home!

She had a blast at science camp but I was so happy to pick her up Wednesday...loved that she had a great time...we enjoyed our couple of days of empty-nesting but glad that she is home and back in the swing of things!

MC Basketball Home Opener

and Diana was chosen to cheer at it.  The cheer team alternates the members during basketball season so she was thrilled to be able to perform for the home opener and....I went to surprise her...so fun!

That's a wrap...have a wonderful weekend friends and one more thing...

BONUS POST!  I will be back tomorrow with this month's edition of Currently...Amy's link up...be sure to stop by here to see what is happening here...currently!

  1. Fun catch up on your blog (I've been offline since Monday) and hearing about your week. You guys have always had kids... It must have felt odd not having anyone sleeping under your roof. I'm sure knowing Eva was coming home soon helped. I figured you'd find the positive in it :). I have really liked some things about empty nesting though obviously I miss the kids in spades. I'm glad Eva had a great time at camp. And congrats to Diana getting to cheer at a BB game. Have a great weekend!

  2. That ChatGPT prompt seems pretty accurate. It is scary how clever AI is. Eek!
Those memes did make me chuckle!
It is so important to vote and how cool that they send celebrities out to voting stations to get people out there to vote!
It is so strange being alone, without the kids isn't it. My fella and I are just starting to get some times alone. When I met my fella my eldest was three so we never had alone time until now. It sounds like you had a nice time together.
The lunch your mom made sounds amazing!!! I hope you dad is feeling better soon.
