What I'm Dreading

Nothing at the moment...

What I'm Working On

Getting and closing business and hopefully rebounding this year...last year was very challenging...in the meantime, working towards my second job that will hopefully lead to much success!

 What I'm Excited About

Miami with the Besties for a Few Days- looking forward to decompressing in the sun and having a nice mix of relaxation, fun and catching up!

 What I'm Watching/Reading

Documentaries...especially on Gypsy Rose Blanchard have been fantastic lately....

First...."The Act" on Hulu...Joey King does an incredible job portraying her

Then the documentary on 20/20 last Friday Night

"Gypsy Rose The Next Act"

Very scary stuff- the original documentary "Mommy Dead and Dearest" can be found on YouTube- that was wan education to begin with on Munchausen by Proxy

Another documentary I enjoyed over the weekend, completely separate from those above and about a completely different topic, "American Nightmare" about a kidnapping that cops mistakenly dubbed "a real life Gone Girl"

and my two books for January were....

The Husbands- Chandler Baker

To what lengths will a woman go for a little more help from her husband?
Nora Spangler is a successful attorney but when it comes to domestic life, she packs the lunches, schedules the doctor appointments, knows where the extra paper towel rolls are, and designs and orders the holiday cards. Her husband works hard, too… but why does it seem like she is always working so much harder?

When the Spanglers go house hunting in Dynasty Ranch, an exclusive suburban neighborhood, Nora meets a group of high-powered women―a tech CEO, a neurosurgeon, an award-winning therapist, a bestselling author―with enviably supportive husbands. When she agrees to help with a resident’s wrongful death case, she is pulled into the lives of the women there. She finds the air is different in Dynasty Ranch. The women aren’t hanging on by a thread.

But as the case unravels, Nora uncovers a plot that may explain the secret to having-it-all. One that’s worth killing for. Calling to mind a
Stepford Wives gender-swap, New York Times bestselling author of Whisper Network Chandler Baker's The Husbands imagines a world where the burden of the “second shift” is equally shared―and what it may take to get there.

I found this one to be REALLY slow....oh well

and  The Senator’s Wife- Liv Constantine

In this town, anyone is replaceable. . . .

After a tragic chain of events led to the deaths of their spouses two years ago, D.C. philanthropist Sloane Chase and Senator Whit Montgomery are finally starting to move on. The horrifying ordeal drew them together, and now they’re ready to settle down again—with each other.

As Sloane returns to the world of White House dinners and political small talk, this time with her new husband, she’s also preparing for an upcoming hip replacement—the latest reminder of the lupus she’s managed since her twenties. With their hectic schedules, they decide that hiring a home health aide will give Sloane the support and independence she needs postsurgery. And they find the perfect fit in Athena Karras.

Seemingly a godsend, Athena tends to Sloane and even helps her run her charitable foundation. But Sloane slowly begins to deteriorate—a complication, Athena explains, of Sloane’s lupus. As weeks go by, Sloane becomes sicker, and her uncertainty quickly turns to paranoia as she begins to suspect the worst. Why is Athena asking her so many probing questions about her foundation—as well as about her past? And could Sloane be imagining the sultry looks between Athena and her new husband?

Ok this one was a little better..more of a thriller...very dark at times but awesome twist at the end and give me all of the stories based in D.C :)

What I'm Listening To

I have been good at shuffling my tunes recently...of course the most played tend to be those songs by Taylor Swift, those songs by Shania Twain and those songs on the soundtrack of Les Mis...but you will find lots of great 90's tunes mixed in and show tunes of course
