Friday Favorites (September 30, 2022)

Hi Friends and Happy Friday!  We made it!

As always, linking up HERE and sharing some recent faves

MEMEs

and more specifically the Frenchie MEMEs.....

Truth Be Told..We Could Really Create Our Own ;)

Fireplace

My Hubby obliged and got me an awesome little electric fireplace for the bedroom..can't wait for the Christmas Tree to be up in here and the crackling fire....with a Halllmark movie on in the background...Happy Place!

Rehearsal Dinner Dress

I am happy with this dress I got for Kayla and Marshall's Rehearsal/Dinner...can't wait!  Less than a month away :)

Election Season

With Eva running for student council and now joining the team, we encouraged Diana to do the same.  So she is running- she doesn't think she has a good chance but we tried to explain that just putting yourself out there and trying is brave.  Fingers crossed!  This photo is from my junior year in college when I was running for Senior Class President- I shared it with Diana and showed her that I went for it- I lost BUT I had a blast doing it :)  (Gotta love the BIG hair of the 90's)

Caught On Our Ring

"Will ya lift me?  Can we try the fish dive?" This is Diana and her bestie Harry who will be The Nutcracker this year and we laugh at how much she tries to get him to try the lifts....hysterical

40 Years!

Last night, Willmott celebrated 40 years in Boston.  We headed into the big city and to The Bostonia Public House- an amazing local venue- we got to spend time with clients and candidates and celebrate the special firm that we are.  One thing stood out for me and reminded me why I am here- it has been proven that you can be kind and be successful at the same time- truly

That's a Wrap!  Have a wonderful weekend friends...we are getting ready to Hocus Pocus over here...how about YOU?

Monthly Musings: September 2022 (All About Fall Decorating and Halloween!)

Hi Friends!  Patty and I are so glad you stopped by!  We hope you will join in on the fun and answer our questions below...

I never hesitate to talk about Fall Decorating...Halloween...Traditions and all of the fun so let's go!

How do you Decorate for Fall/Halloween?

So typically outside we decorate with pumpkins and gourds and cornstalks with bows and a mum here and there

Inside, we go all Halloween with pumpkins and scary characters adorning our family room and kitchen

2. Do you Decorate Inside?  Outside?  Both?

See above- BOTH :)

3. When do you do your Fall Decorating?

We start in September because we learned years ago that everyone sells out of pumpkins by October- it is crazy!

4.  How do you "pumpkin"?  Decorate with pumpkins?

I put real pumpkins outside in our planters and in some buckets in one area of our yard.  Inside, it is about ceramic pumpkins as part of our decor

5. Do you add lights to your decorating?   Share photos!

Sometimes..sometimes not...I did purchase this awesome jack-o-lantern stand that lights up and we keep that out on our front steps

Exhibit A

6. Do you do anything special for Halloween Dinner?

Growing up, I LOVED my Mom's Halloween Dinner because she said "it is going to be light" and she would make her homemade souffle which is to die for!  I will never forget it...we were so excited to get all of our candy and eat it so we ate it up in a jiffy so we could get to the junk!  Ha!

In recent years, we have eaten at Lea's party..this year is up in the air right now..we may all follow Eva around to start with her friends, so we shall see!

7.   Favorite Halloween Candy?

Would have to say either 100,000 bars or Baby Ruth- Chocolate, Caramel, Nougat? Yes please ;)

8. Full Size or Fun Size Candy Bars?

Fun Size says Halloween to me!

9. Best Fall Decor Tips?

Buy your pumpkins early!  See # 3

10.  Pumpkin Spice?  Yes or No?

Yes...I do enjoy pumpkin flavored treats...I will occasionally get a PSL at Starbucks and I order it with only 2 pumps of pumpkin and no whip and that cuts down on calories but not the flavor!
