Hi Friends! I am here to join Joyce for her weekly Hodgepodge of questions....let's get started...
1. Do you think you're driven more by curiosity or comfort? Explain.
Curiosity...I am always learning...always striving to grow and be better...and I am curious about our world...always want to explore new places too...Haven't been able to travel recently but hope that changes sooner than later!
2. What non-food item is in your refrigerator or freezer?
A roller device for de-puffing my face/under eyes...not even sure what it is called...ha!
3. Are you comfortable with silence? If you're home alone, do you like silence or do you need regular background noise? Do you seek out times and places to be silent? What's your favorite place to find silence/be silent?
I like silence but only occasionally...I even need to sleep with noise...noise calms me...I know I am weird. I do like the silence in church sometimes but also prefer to hear Catholic music while I am there.
4. Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, landscaping...which skill would you most like to possess and how would you put that skill to use today?
Landscaping...I would love to plant lush gardens on our property and know how to make my plants and flowers thrive...I can dream right?
5. Do you lean more towards being too needy or too independent? Which do you find harder to deal with in others?
I used to be too needy but I have learned to be strong and independent especially in recent years. I find needy very hard to deal with. I am way too impatient unfortunately.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Ok I am ready to decorate and get into the Halloween spirit..Eva is forcing me to do so and I promised her we could host a few of her besties for some festive snacks and fun before they all head off to the Middle School Halloween Dance (which is a very popular event)

I think your landscaping looks very nice but I can see you wanting to improve it. (Again, not because it doesn't look good but because I know what it is like to want improvement in an area where others don't really see a need.) You will throw a great get together for Eva and friends. You were made for such a time as this!
ReplyDeleteYou are too kind Maria :) I do love hosting and if it makes my girls happy then sign me up!
DeleteI think you should be proud that you have grown more independent. I felt a shift when I turned 40 and turned 50 into just being more myself and less apologetic and I wonder if that is part of that independence. I can overthink decisions - even the smallest - like you wouldn't believe though. Working on that!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying the things that come with age like not caring as much about what other people think of me
DeleteI have a similar face roller which is what I call mine. I looked it up when I answered and I think mine is called a Jade roller so I was close. We're going to a Halloween party this year and I"m looking forward to it. We've had fun coming up with costumes. I'm sure you'll have lots of your special touches for Eva's get together. You seem to have the gift of hosting. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your Halloween costumes Joyce!
DeleteI like learning things but don't always go out of my way to. I am more about comfort.
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine how great that face roller feels after being chilled and same when it comes to landscaping!
Have fun decorating for Halloween, it sounds like Eva is going to!
I am about comfort too Kim- curiosity always gets the best of me though!
DeleteMy late hub was good at landscaping, NOT ME!! I try, but it never turns out the way I pictured it.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a green thumb Tammy-wish I did!
DeleteI have to be better about pushing myself outside of my comfort zone....but I agree with you about background noise, a quiet house feels way too quiet!

Yes Nikki!
DeleteI love the balloon image! So perfect and festive. I also need a bit of white noise to fall asleep when I’m not super tired 😴
ReplyDeleteThose are my favorite Halloween colors Paula :)
DeleteI have a very haphazard approach to landscaping and often wish our yard looked so much better than it does.
ReplyDeleteYou do such a great job Joanne!
DeleteI agree with you on the independence and dealing with needy people. I listen to music when I sleep too!
