3. What's something you remember about your childhood summers? Do you think kids today get to enjoy summer the way you did as a child? Elaborate.
So much pool time....a trip to the beach...a trip to Canobie Lake Park...a trip to Rockport...I think kids can enjoy summer the way we did...we can keep it simple...but we compete with the phones and sports schedules for sure.
4. We celebrate Fathers Day on June 21st. Do you favor your dad in looks or temperament? Tell us something about your dad. Or your husband as a dad. Or a son/son-in-law as a dad. Or your grandpa.
Yes. I look more like my Dad and his family. I guess I would match his temperament too but I also act a lot like my Mom.

My favorite summer flavors are Blueberry and Lobster- they scream New England Summer to me :)

So fun to be entering your favorite season! I can see how you love it being so close to the beach and when much of your year is so cold. Great pictures! I can't tell who you favor looks wise based on pictures of your parents. I like it when you can see parts of both parents :).
ReplyDeleteI think it helps when you see parents when they were younger- I will have to round up some pics Maria
DeleteSummer is a great season for all the things you mentioned. I would love to live closer to the coast to visit the beach more.
ReplyDeleteI have never eaten lobster! I need to try it.
Oh Kim! I want to know when you try lobster- that would be so fun and hopefully delicious to you!
DeleteOh yes lobsters and blueberry are kind of iconic for New England aren't they? So many of my this and that would be "both" too.
ReplyDeleteQuintessential New England as they say Joanne :)
DeleteI laughed out loud at your blueberries and lobster comment!
ReplyDeleteGlad I could make you laugh Cara :)
DeleteI love lobster and blueberries too. We don't get a lot of lobster in our part of the state, but a local brewery is having an anniversary this weekend and will have the Cousins lobster truck there so we might brave it. I'm making a blueberry pie tomorrow for company, which is my favorite. Hope you have a wonderful summer with lots of family time, fun time, beach, and sunshine!
ReplyDeleteOh I think you need to indulge in some lobster this weekend Joyce! I would love to get your blueberry pie recipe if you would be so kind! That sounds like a good summer challenge to me
DeleteI am loving summer more this year and bet as a Northerner, summer is a welcomed treat! I would love to vacation more up north in summer.
ReplyDeleteFor sure Marilyn and I would like to vacation down south!
