Hi Friends and Happy Friday! I am on my way to Nantucket but before I get there, I needed to share a few recent faves as always...let's go.....
"Senior Moments"
Special Graduation Gift
My brother got this special elephant for Diana for her graduation. There is such a cute story behind it. When she was a toddler, my parents had taken her to the Rainforest Cafe for the first time. She was blown away by all of the animals who were moving around and talking and making noises. We surmise that she was most impressed by the elephant and here is why. On the car ride home, she fell fast asleep. My dad carried her into their house and she could hear my brother inside. She forced herself to wake up for a split second...struggled to open her eyes and croaked, "I saw elephant Uncle Matt!" Then a second later she was asleep again. They keep telling that story years later and talk about how cute she was. My brother found the Rain Forest Cafe's official elephant online and grabbed it for her. Can't wait to watch him give it to her- oh my heart :/
Senior Mamas
We call it a therapy session- we are in our feels- such a time of mixed emotions- thrill- joy- and also sadness and melancholy- grateful for my Mamas in town going through the same things I am right now
That's a wrap! See you back here on Monday! XO

Have a great time in Nantucket!
ReplyDeleteAww! What special moments for Diana and well done to Eva with her project.
Thank you Kim!
DeleteThe elephant story is so sweet and how awesome is your brother for finding the RC elephant! It looks like Diana enjoyed her lobster roll- looks so good. Can you believe a few places around here sell them? Not gonna eat them in Ohio, sorry!! I'm glad you have such good friends to walk with you in this season of all the feels. Have a great weekend on Nantucket!
