I am cautiously optimistic in March...knowing spring is on its way...however it usually does come in like a lion with life changes and drama and such...we had job upsets, in the past, in March and COVID entered our world in March....so I say to March...walk slowly...please for the Love of God...
2. Where in your life are you a lion? Where are you a lamb?
I am a lion at work- I am driven- I push- I strive every day to do better. I am a lamb in front of new people...until I get comfortable...I tread lightly
3. The Hodgepodge lands on National Pound Cake day. Do you like pound cake? If so do you have a favorite flavor? Let's play this or that...
Yes I like pound cake..what's not to like about lots of butter? Ha!
pound cake or cheesecake? Cheesecake
pound cake or angel food cake? Angel Food Cake
pound cake or brownie? Brownie
pound cake or pie? Pound Cake
I do like it but as you can tell from above...it may not always be my first choice
4. What makes you feel childlike wonder right now?
I guess it was in Aruba...watching our kids live their best lives...it was surreal..truly
5. What's one thing you need to add to your wardrobe to get ready for spring? If you're in the southern hemisphere, then answer for fall?
A spring suit...in a size smaller...we shall see what I can find!
6. Insert your own random thought here.
We are in the final stretch...three more months of high school for Diana....praying for this time...may everything go smoothly...may she find joy...and may we enjoy it all and not wallow in self pity :)

It seems like you are doing a good job of enjoying all of the senior moments with Diana. Praying this March is a good one for you! How exciting to need clothes in a smaller size :).
ReplyDeleteThank you friend- I am just soaking it all up as much as I can!
DeleteWatching your kids enjoy something in life is such a sweet moment for sure. Keep enjoying the moments from high school, college and beyond!
ReplyDeleteThank you Marilyn- I am doing my best!
DeleteI hope March is a quiet and calm month for us all. I feel the same about being a lamb with new people. I am so glad all the kids had the best time in Aruba and I hope Diana has an amazing last few months of high school!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim! Praying we all can enjoy it all!
DeleteThe end of high school is bittersweet, but I think you will love the college years. I enjoyed that season so much with my girls. A size smaller...good for you! I would say March has never been my favorite month. It doesn't know what it is. This year ours is super busy so maybe it will feel different. Have a great day Holly!
ReplyDeleteSo good to know- I am looking forward to those college years too!
DeleteWow when you put it that way 3 more months sounds like such a short amount of time! I hadn't thought of it that way... and we typically end in May. Guess I should think about planning a graduation party (just a small one as Evan doesn't want anything big).
ReplyDeleteRight? It just sneaks up on us!
DeleteI loved all your answers! I totally get what you said about March coming in slowly. I said that the first year after covid. I think we were all traumatized, and rightly so! I hope and pray that you all can enjoy this season of lasts with your Diana; there are so many mixed emotions with all of this time!
ReplyDeleteYes we were completely traumatized! Thank you friend XO
DeleteThose Senior Moments are so special - enjoy every one!! I didn't think about it until I was reading your post, but yes . . .maybe we should tread lightly. I hope we never have another experience like Covid.
ReplyDeleteMe too Lisa!
DeleteSenior year - so many "last times"! It's sad but happy at the same time!
ReplyDeleteTruly! So so bittersweet
DeleteI feel like everyone on this link up said that they just wanted a quiet March with good weather. The winter was brutal for a lot of people!
ReplyDeleteYes! Bring on the warmth and outdoor time stat ;)
